Recently, Asus just revealed with DigiTimes a very cool secret: more than 1.5 millions Asus smartphones were sold last month, May 2015. The smartphone department of this company started to gain profits.

Asus smartphones: loved by new and old users

Since the release of latest Asus Zenfone 2 with amazing 4GB RAM and 13MP camera, users all around the world became so much in love with the brand. News, pictures and reviews have been continuously updated on websites, blogs and forums.

 

What we like most about Asus is that the company does not only care about its newly-launched devices, but the previous ones also got some improvement after time. For example, the Asus Zenfone 4, 5, 6 just got updated into Android Lollipop earlier in June. This explains why the company soon became so popular among users.

Let’s talk more about the huge sales phenomenon in May. Asus is crediting the success to multiple variants of the Zenfone 2 and the release of such device to international markets outside of Asia, especially the USA.

Asus smartphones: high expectation for the future

The company is targeting to reach 2 millions Asus smartphones sold in June with the help of Asus Zenfone Selfie, expected to be launched late this June. The Zenfone Selfie is expected to be launched in Asia, India, Europe, and maybe the United States. The device is like a Zenfone 2 with better camera, featuring a FHD 5.5” display, Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core processor, 13MP for both rear and front cameras, potential to attract enormous flow of attention.

The company also doesn’t expect its sales figures to stop increasing, hoping a huge leap in July and continue to the end of 2015. For the whole year, their target is to reach from 17 millions to 25 millions Asus smartphones distributed worldwide.

Beside Asus smartphones products, the company is focusing to boost sales on their tablet lines. Right now, the new Asus Zenpad tablet with powerful Intel processor is also a hot item from the Giant.
