As promised, yesterday, September 22nd, Alcatel has officially unveiled the Flash 2. Alcatel Flash 2 is the next generation of  the selfie-centric smartphone Alcatel Flash Plus. That the success of the Flash Plus has obviously been proven.  Many people gave positive feedback to the handset after their own experience of usage. Also, being sold exclusively on Lazada, the Alcatel Flash Plus has continuously been ranked one of the hottest smartphones that sold out after just very short periods of time.

Now it’s time for a new flagship to rise and shine. The Alcatel Flash 2 is a 5-inch budget smartphone that targets at the growing selfie market. Some Alcatel Flash 2 specs include 2GB of RAM, an ARM Cortex A53 1.3GHz octa-core processor. Similar to its sibling, the Alcatel Flash 2 will be sold exclusively on Lazada. Alcatel Flash 2 price in Philippines will be very attractive: only PHP 6,190 for a very decent selfie device.

Specs-wise, Alcatel Flash 2 has some changes compared to the previous generation Flash Plus. To be more exact, we would call them some “degrading specs” compared to its sibling. Instead of 8MP selfie camera, the Alcatel Dlash 2 selfie camera will only be 5MP. Also, compared to Alcatel Flash Plus 3500 mAH battery, Alcatel Flash 2 battery will only be 3000 mAH capacity.

However, there is one update compared to the older version. While the Plus runs on Android 4.0 Kitkat, the Flash 2 will have Android 5.1 Lollipop. Although 5.1 is not the latest OS from Android, Lollipop is already great for a  mid-range device.
