BlackBerry has always been famous for its premium phones with great security. The company started its first BlackBerry phones with keyboards. And that brand image has been sticking to the BlackBerry name until now. In order to stay competitive, BlackBerry expanded its product lines by making smartphones with a full touchscreen and no hard keyboard.

The old Blackberry models with QWERTY keyboards must be so successful in the market that the company has just released the BlackBerry KEYone with a similar design. BlackBerry KEYone launched several months after its announcement at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2017) in Barcelona. The phone sports a 4.5-inch full-HD display with a resolution of 1620 x 1080 pixels. The IPS LCD screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glas 4. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset, Octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU, and Adreno 506 GPU.

BlackBerry KEYone specs include 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage which can be expanded up to 2TB via microSD card slot. In terms of photography, BlackBerry KEYone cameras feature a 12MP main shooter on the back and an 8MP wide-angle selfie snapper. The front camera supports phase detection autofocus, dual-LED (dual tone) flash, geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama. The phone runs the latest Android 7.1 Nougat with a non-removable Li-Ion battery of 3,505mAh. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port.

BlackBerry KEYone launched: price and availability?

The phone is now available for purchase in UK with a £499 ~ Rs 41,367 price tag. The phone is expected to arrive in India soon. It was listed on an Indian website last month with full specs, features, and images. BlackBerry KEYone price in India will probably come at Rs 39,999.
