Starcraft to be revived by Blizzard, with 4D resolution!

Blizzard has recently confirmed that the company will indeed revive the legendary title Starcraft. The gameplay, characters, and story of the original will remain the same. However, this time, it will support up to 4K resolution. Blizzard will release the remastered version of the original game, along with the Brood War expansion. All soundtracks and sound effects will be remastered to HD quality. The game is expected to be downloadable some time soon!

This piece of news was announced on March 26, at the “I <3 Starcraft” event in Seoul, South Korea. Blizzard’s CEO, Mike Morhaime, shared that Starcraft has been the most Blizzard-ish product ever coming from the company. The game has been renowned for its balance in gameplay, and every details, small or big, reflects the whole process of development. It is one of the best games, and has contributed tremendously to e-sport in all those years past. Simply put, it is a legend among games.

The gameplay of the game is classic, with players only needing to harvest 2 resources, Vespene gas and minerals, then concentrate on the strategic aspect. This simplicity has lead to Starcraft being one of the most successful games in e-sport. The game was released at early 1998, and the Brood War expansion came at the end of the same year. The form of the HD update will be in the 1.18 patch for those who have already owned the game. It is not clear whether the Remastered version will cost money or not. Either way, this is great news for fans of the game!

Starcraft: The legend returns!

Starcraft has left a very big mark in the history of gaming and e-sport. Now with this HD remaster, we will be able to relive the times of the glorious past again. Are you looking forward to this release?
