Galaxy A8 2016: 64GB ROM, not 32GB

Recently, we’ve just given you some information about Galaxy A8 2016. This new phone from Samsung was leaked online with a lot of specs, as well as renders. According to GFXBench, this phone will be powered by a 2.1Ghz octa-core Exynos 7420 processor and run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It’ll pack 3GB RAM paired with 32GB of storage. The other Galaxy A8 2016 specs could include a 5.1-inch Full HD display, a 5MP front-facing camera, and a 16MP main shooter.

Now, this phone is spotted on Antutu as well, with the code name of SM-A810F. Compared to the specs on GFXBench, Galaxy A8 2016 specs on Antutu are quite different. The first discrepancy is the inbuilt storage. Instead of packing a 32GB ROM, the A8 2016 on Antutu seems to have 64GB storage. Secondly, Antutu A8 2016 would only own an 8MP main cam, not a 16MP one. The other specs of A8 on both Antutu and GFXBench are similar.

One of the most noticeable specs of this handset is the screen. Both Antutu and GFXBench show that A8 this year will come with a 5.1-inch Full HD display. Meanwhile, Zauba (an Indian company) said that the phone would feature a 5.7-inch display with the resolution of 1920 x 1080px from the sample they got.

Galaxy A8 2016: a step back?

If those reports are true, with a 5.1-inch screen and an 8MP primary camera (Antutu), S8 2016 version is a step back when compared to Galaxy A8 last year. These features on A8 2015 are a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED Full HD display and a 16MP rear camera. However, we have to wait until Galaxy A8 2016 launch to know more about this handset.
