As you may know, makers are already stepping away from wide notches. However, Sharp and Essential had this design from the beginning and continued now by Oppo and Huawei. In general, there is a certain irony in how Chinese manufacturers often accused of always aping the iPhone’s designs. While everyone wants or can afford elevating cameras, some seem to have a found another path forward.

For the Huawei upcoming phone, the device comes with model number ARE-AL00, which is reported as either Honor 8X or 8S. Earlier today, Huawei phone latest images arrived at TENAA and showed a small V-shaped notch. The sad news is, the photo of the back has the low resolution to make out any additional detail beyond the dual camera. Whereas, various certification authorities have lifted the veil a little bit – like 3C and the 18W fast charger (9V at 2A).

Regarding Huawei Honor 8X specs (or 8S), the smartphone reportedly use a Snapdragon 660 or a 636 chipset. We would not be surprised to see this swapped out for a mid-range Kirin chip. Otherwise, according to a TENAA filing, the processor includes a 1.8 GHz octa-core CPU. On the other side, the storage comes at 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which is expandable to 256GB. Also, Huawei Honor 8X camera includes a 16MP+2MP rear sensors and an 8MP front shooter. Whereas, the device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo, not 9 Pie, out of the box. Moreover, the screen phone arrives at 6-inch in size and 2160 x 1440 pixels in resolutions.
