Some time ago rumours about an affordable version iPhone 6, iPhone 6c, circulating the Internet. Some source said that it woud be released in 2015, but was now canceled. Again, around the past few days, another news came up with the possible launch in Q2 2016 of this Apple product. iPhone 6c display will be smaller than the original, with the appearance of a new 14/16nm chipset, which will be produced by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) and Samsung.

An Apple chipset produced by Apple’s rival, Samsung?

The new budget smart phone from Apple will be sporting a FinFet technology chipset, which enhances the iPhone 6c specs and save more power. The chipsets, along with those being in the new iPhone 6s and 6s plus expected to released in September, are being mass produced by TSMC and Samsung.

About iPhone 6c specs, it would be a combination of an iPhone 5c and iPhone 6. iPhone 6c display will be around 4’’ inch. For hardware, apart from FinFet chipset, iPhone 6c specs are 1GB RAM with 16GB for the starting variant. iPhone 6c battery will be around 1810mAH.

Apple iPhone 5c is the colorful and budget version of iPhone 5.

iPhone 6c camera will, of course, be an 8MP one. Moreover, it will feature no microSD card slot.

iPhone 6c price is not known yet. However, if this handset is to be launched next year, we suppose it would be around $470 sim free. For an affordable version of an Apple flagship, this still seems a lot.
