To popularize its new music service on iTunes, Apple has just announced the next iPod touch. The new iPod touch will be integrated with Apple’s latest generation A8 chip. This somehow levels the iPod to the next stage, where it can compete with even the company’s iPhone 5s.

 

The new iPod touch sports a very powerful hardware, as the A8 chip will be available in all of its model. While iPhone 5s, Apple’s flagship upon its release, was already outdated with just an A7 chip. Moreover, the new A8 chip with 64 bit support will certainly boost the speed and performance of iPod touch vastly when running large games or HD movies. This is a nice feature on top of just playing music and regular kinds of entertainment.

Additionally, the iPod, also features fitness tracking M8 motion co-processor, another thing iPhone 5s only has the outdated one.

In terms of design, iPhone 5s offers users with 3 choices in color:  space grey, silver, and gold. The iPod varies more though, with 3 more options : blue, pink, and red. Thinner and lighter, the iPod touch also has the same display resolution, which is another huge advantage.

The camera of iPod touch features an 8MP sensor, which is also available on iPhone 5s. The settings on both devices are on the same levels, which give almost little to no notable differences while taking photos.

However, as staying connected is always a must, iPhone 5s will always prevail since it can be equipped with a SIM card. On the other hand, as Wifi is vastly available in major cities, owning an iPod instead of a phone can be as handy, since there are many apps o iOS for making calls and messages already.
