Nokia 5 is an upcoming device and Galaxy A5 (2017) is already released in January. In the last couple of days, Nokia 5 has been leaked online and appears to be a strong rival to this Samsung mid-range phone. First, just like Nokia 6, Nokia 5 is powered by a 1.4 GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) is powered by an Exynos 7880 Octa chipset clocked at the speed of an Octa-core 1.9GHz CPU.

About the memory, Nokia 5 offers only 2GB of RAM which is a little smaller than 3GB of RAM inside the Galaxy A5 (2017). Moreover, Nokia 5 is packed with 16GB of expandable ROM which is also smaller than 32GB in Galaxy A5 (2017). On the other hand, Galaxy A5 (2017) only runs Android OS, v6.0.1 (Marshmallow), Nokia runs the latest Android 7.0 Nougat.

As for the cameras, Nokia 5 sports a 13MP main camera paired with an 8MP front shooter. Otherwise, Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) features two 16MP cameras, one is on the back and one is on the front for selfie. As we can see, the cameras on Samsung beast is clearly better. Both mounts a 5.2-inch screen size. However, Galaxy A5 (2017) display has full HD resolution which is obviously cooler than HD resolution of Nokia 5 display.

The Galaxy A5 (2017) specs really have some advantages when compared to Nokia 5 specs. Let’s see if this price battle can reverse the situation. Nokia 5 price is quite affordable, will come at about $199 for each. Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) price is still unknown. However, it is expected to be around $250 or more. Thus, Nokia 5 wins this price battle.
