Nokia 8 vs Huawei P10 Plus: tight specs comparison!

In terms of design, both the Nokia 8 and the Huawei P10 Plus look amazing! All you need is to take a look to realize these devices are in their serious games. There are a few differences, however: the Nokia 8 has an overall smaller display, with a 5.3 inch IPS touchscreen. On the other hand, Huawei P10 Plus has a larger display with a 5.5 inch IPS NEO LCD screen. Both of them sport some pretty solid resolutions, which is QHD by the way. The Nokia 8’s slightly smaller screen size does mean it wins here with a slightly higher 554 pixels per inch, versus the 540 that the Huawei P10 Plus sports.

Both of these smart devices run on some solid specs under the hood, with the Nokia 8 sporting 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. However, the Huawei P10 Plus takes the lead if you’re getting their L29 version instead of their L09 version. The reason: L09 version is identical to the Nokia 8 here. Meanwhile, L29 version actually sports 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Both of the phones have tons of sensors. I would vote for Nokia 8 in this aspect, with extra sensors such as a heart rate sensor embedded into the device! We’re super curious to give that one a try.

Finally, let’s end this comparison with our favorite bit, the cameras showdown. If you’re a super user of social media, you’re going to have a close look at this part of the comparison!!! You can see that the Nokia 8 is being a bit left behind in this department… It does have a completely respectable duo of 13MP cameras for the main camera, with one in RGB and one in Mono, as well a single 13MP camera for the front. The Huawei P10 Plus, however, has a dual 20MP and 12MP camera for the main, and an 8MP camera for selfies. Tough choice to make!!

It’s hard to say for sure which of the two is the better device. Both Nokia 8 and Huawei P10 Plus have similar specs, and look great!! However, you should keep in mind that the Nokia 8 did cost less on release. The Nokia 8 is around Rs 39, 434 (which is around $612), whereas the Huawei P10 Plus costs Rs 43,235 (which is around $671).
