We must all remember the fire hazard of Galaxy Note 7. Whatever caused the explosion has not really been confirmed, but Samsung have been and will suffer huge losses in revenue. Recently, Samsung Battery Production has to admit that they are facing a lot of difficulties after the scandal.

Samsung SDI (SSDI) is a branch of Samsung specialized in producing batteries of Samsung devices, including the Galaxy Note7. This department of Samsung has fallen into a difficult position and struggled on the technology market. SSDI focuses on manufacturing and distribution of electronic components for many other brands. Samsung Electronics and affiliating corporations are also used battery produced by SSDI, but actually 2/3 profits came from outside companies such as Apple.

SSDI is the main focus of Galaxy Note 7 crisis. They are the first name to be blamed for battery fire incidents. It has led Samsung to withdraw all the Note 7 handsets. Samsung continues to call upon their batteries, but the reputation of the SSDI has almost collapsed. An insider has stated that Samsung’s partners expressed many concerns and distrust on SSDI. Among them is Apple – one of the most potential customers.

Since the first call for change was made, they have continued to receive inquiries, questions from their partners. Whether Samsung SDI is strong enough to keep the credibility with existing partners, finding and contacting new names would very much difficult . The market value of the SSDI has fallen 20% since the failure of Note7, while revenue loss in the last quarter fell tripple down compared to last year.

Samsung battery production shouldn’t taken all the blame

So far, Samsung has not really formally announced significant cause of the explosion on the battery. But the company’s ambitions for the Note 7 also accounted for a share of the blame. They want to strengthen and focus more on capabilities and battery life, but the price go against expectations. Anyway, the damage caused by this incident was limited quickly and seriously. According to a recent survey, many customers and users still spend a lot of confidence for the Samsung devices.
