40% of Samsung clients refuse to purchase another Samsung phone

According to the research in the USA, 40% of 1020 Samsung current owners said no to other Samsung phones when they were asked about the side-effect of Galaxy Note 7 incident. The statistic is higher than that of September survey, which is done after the first time recal by Branding Brand. In the previous study, there were 34% participants refusing to buy a Samsung phone again. Twice-recalled Galaxy Note 7 seems to sweep away a great number of Samsung clients.

Galaxy Note 7 was first launched in August 2016 but a lot of cases were reported that the phone exploded. Samsung recalled all the first faulty phones and offered customers other Note 7 phones in return and promised that they were safe. However, just a few days later, the replacements continued to explode. Samsung decided to completely recalled the phones and stop releasing Note 7 anymore. It also gives out bad prediction about new smartphone sale revenue of this company in the future.

On the other hand, other  60% customers kept their loyalty to Samsung. These are some main reasons unveiled in the survey. First, customers didn’t want to have to learn how a new phone works. The design of the company’s phones, customization flexibility, battery life and cost are the other reasons. Ridiculously, battery life is not only a factor that keep Samsung clients but also a trigger for them to go away.

Which brand will Samsung customers choose as Samsung’s substitute?

Among over 400 customers who said that they would never buy another phone made by Samsung, 8% prefer a Google new phone (Google Pixel). 70% said that they will stay with an Android smartphone whilst 30% said that they are hopping to iOS by obtaining an Apple iPhone. It is an utter concern to Samsung because Samsung Galaxy S8 will be presented soon. How will customers respond to the Samsung new phone? Stay tuned with us to get more news about it!
