After being spotted on Antutu as well as Geekbench, Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 is now official. This phone has just been launched in Korea. So, let’s have a closer look at this phone. About the design, this phone looks a lot like its predecessor – Galaxy A8. The 2016 version is slimmer and is made of metal. It comes with “Always On display” feature which allows you to see the basic info (time, date, notifications) on the lock screen.

In terms of Samsung Galaxy A8 2016 specs, it is powered by an Exynos 7420 chipset. You can see this SoC on the 2015 flagship Galaxy S6. It packs 3GB RAM paired with 32GB of inbuilt storage. The ROM amount is similar to A8 last year, but the RAM amount is larger. Galaxy A8 2015 has 2GB RAM. This new Samsung handset uses Android 6.0.1 OS out of the box with Grace UX. This feature was added on Galaxy Note 7.

Compared to last year’s version (16MP+5MP), the 2016 model has a better front-facing camera. A8 2016 is backed up with a 3300mAh capacity.
