Samsung Galaxy Note 4 officially launched – a new experience with a new Note

At IFA Berlin this year, a lot of new products have been introduced. Samsung, the famous company with its Galaxy series, announced their latest model – Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

With the same display size as the Note 3, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has a lot of new features. And it is really a beastly new phablet for Android lovers.

Same design with additional finishing touches

The design of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is similar to other of the same series. There is a new metallic frame covering the sides of the Note 4, which gives off a very elegant and great feeling. However, the back cover is still made from plastic, and while it does not affect much in use, it does not feel premium, either. There is one plus point to the plastic cover that it is now softer and it ensure a tight grip.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will be available in four different colours: Charcoal black, Frosted white,  Bronze Gold and Blossom Pink

The note 4 also has a lot of accessories for covers. Even a shiny Swarovski crystal cover is made for the Note 4. So instead we have the luxury feelings from its flip cover if you do not want to touch the plastic back.

Curved screen for better viewing

The screen is 5.7’’ and is unchanged from that of Note 3 last year. However, with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass on top, the screen has a curvy edge. Your experience with sliding on a smart phone screen will be different from now. The Note 4 display is also a quad HD Super AMOLED display with the resolution of 1440 x 2560 p and pixel density of 515 ppi. These specs can make sure you have the best viewing experience Samsung has to offer.

Powerful processor, large storage

 

Powered by either Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset and 2.7 GHz quad core processor for the international version, or 1.3 Ghz plus 1.9 GHz octa core processor by Exynos for the Korean version, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is more than enough for any of your working reference or entertainment purposes.

The graphic processor also differs. One version is equipped with Adreno 420 and the other is equipped with Mali T760. Both will have 3GB of RAM and we will not have to worry about the pressure the Note 4 has to take when running large games or when a lot of apps are open at the same time.

The Note 4 will have either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage, which can be extended to a more 64GB through memory cards. Moreover, users of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will have a free 50 GB account on Dropbox for 2 years. Android Kitkat is also a plus.

The battery capacity on Note 4 is 3220mAh. This large amount of power will supply your phone all day, whether you are working or playing games.

Upgraded camera and photo shooting features

The camera on Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is now 16MP, and it’s an impressive upgrade from the 13MP camera on Note 3. With optical image stabilization, the Note 4 can now produce even livelier, brighter, colorful photos and videos. Other shot feature such as dual shot, touch focus, auto focus, face and smile detection, etc … are also there.

The front camera is also upgraded and improved. Being a 3.1MP camera, it now has a new wide-angle (90 degree) selfie mode, which will be satisfying to users who enjoy taking self-portrait photos. The new panorama feature allows you to take group picture without cutting anyone offscreen.

Also, Snap Note, a new application on Note 4, allows you to take photos of writings and texts and your phone will automatically convert it to digital data for you to read and edit. This is great because of no more writing in a notebook.

 

A brand new S pen

The S Pen that comes together with Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is impressively improved, too. It is more sensitive while using it on the screen, and with just a little pressure you can easily tap, write and draw things on your Note 4. There are new options on how the S Pen works, such as fountain pen and calligraphy mode.

Selecting text and multiple items are now easier with the S Pen. You can put together what you select, edit them and save at once. Even Samsung has said that the new S Pen functions like a PC mouse. This is better than ever with an advanced S Pen.

Other enhanced features

There are a lot of new features this time on Note 4. For example, you can open multi windows and manage multiple applications at the same time. Samsung has also improved charging speed on the Note 4, making charging time shorter than previous device. You will only wait around 30 minutes for half of the battery.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is also compatible with the next generation of smart wearable devices such as Samsung Gear S and Samsung Galaxy Gear VR.

Galaxy Gifts also brings you a lot of services from many service providers. Note 4 also has several microphones, which allows you to record what sound you want and cancel noise based on direction.

The phone also has a home fingerprint scan button, a heart rate monitor and other health sensors. You can check your health with the device. Barometer, gyroscope and usual sensors are also integrated.

For data connection and network, Note 4 supports 4G LTE access, Wifi dual band, Wifi Hotspot, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, and NFC supports. USB On the go is also featured, and you can attach a USB falsh drive to the phone or connect the Note 4 to other devices.

With all these high end specifications and innovative features, the price of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will not be cheap. However, it is really worth buying considering all of those together. When it is officially out in the Philippines, fans of smart phones will greatly be satisfied.
