Samsung Galaxy Note 9 review hands-on

A few weeks ago, the most awaited flagship, Samsung Galaxy Note 9, was official. As expected, the smartphone is a bigger Galaxy S9+ with an S-Pen. Furthermore, the handset employs every cutting-edge technology of Samsung and builds on the legacy ignited the phablet revolution. In details, we have a new chipset, an upgraded camera, and a larger battery, and notably improved S-Pen (charge within the device).

In details, the S-Pen gives some new eye-catchy colour accents and connects via Bluetooth for remote control. Also, the Note9 requires a proper cable for Samsung’s Desktop mode instead of a DeX pad as previously. Whereas, there is no notch on the iconic Super AMOLED screen, alongside Samsung’s popular glass-sandwich design. Moreover, the Gorilla Glass pieces on both front and rear are curved towards the longer sides of the frame.

Whereas, Samsung is sticking to its pressure-sensitive Home key, the SIM and microSD tray on top, and the USB port, the 3.5mm audio port on the bottom. The fingerprint scanner moved below the camera, which is more convenient. Also, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 camera and chipset are same as S9+. Moreover, the Note9 and its S-Pen are water resistant. Otherwise, the Galaxy Note9 supports fast wired/wireless charging for its “brand’s biggest” battery of 4000mAh. Moreover, the device has an improved heat-pipe cooling design, to combat thermal-throttling and facilitate long gaming sessions. You can learn more about this flagship performance review here.
