Sharp Z3 is coming with SND 652, 2K display and more!

Japanese electronics company Sharp is back on the smartphone market with the Z3, its first mobile phone of the year. As the name suggests, Sharp Z3 is the successor of the Z2 which was released last year. Design-wise, the new mid-range mobile phone comes with a full-metal unibody design on the back that reminds us of iPhone 7’s design. Its surface is made from diamond sandblasting process and it measures 157.9 x 78.5 x 7.78 mm and it weighs 185 grams.

Spec-wise, the new Sharp Z3 mounts a large 5.7-inch IPS LCD display with the resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, which can excellently support watching videos and playing games. Under the hood, you will find a strong 1.8 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset and 4 GB of RAM which is paired with 64GB of internal storage. Furthermore, it runs on Android’s Nougat OS and sports a battery capacity of 3100mAh.

In terms of photography, the upcoming Sharp Z3 is equipped with a 16-megapixel camera on the rear with PDAF, OIS and dual LED flash. On the front, there is 13-megapixel shooter for selfies with PDAF and 80.7-degree wide-angle support. Other Z3 specs include a microUSB port, 3.5mm audio jack, a microphone on the bottom and a fingerprint sensor which is embedded in the physical Home button below the display.

Sharp Z3 Price and Availability

Sharp Z3 is the company’s first smartphone this year will initially be available in the Taiwanese market in Gold color. The handset’s price will come at about $462 on April 15.
