Sony Xperia Edge concept is mesmerizing!

As stated before, Sony is among the few companies not following the trend of making curved screen smartphones. Many people have considered that a wasted opportunity. With Sony’s reputation at smartphone design, many believe a curved screen phone from Sony will look amazing. Recently, designer Techconfigurations has tried to envision such a phone from Sony, and has made a concept. He called the Sony Xperia Edge concept, and truth be told, it looks totally amazing!

Keep in mind that this is not the first time a Sony Xperia Edge concept has surfaced. However, this one looks distinct enough. It gives off the vibe of the older Xperia phones, with big build and a lot of glasses. The screen is not actually curved, but rather sloped on the sides. It also has 100% screen up front, and there are also glasses at the back (the glass is Gorilla 5 for great protection). When put down, if we view the phone from the side, the phone has the shape of a trapezoid.

The power button stays on the side, along with a fingerprint sensor. One interesting aspect of this phone is that there is a dual back camera, something Sony has not implemented on their phones yet. The phone still remains waterproof and dustproof, similar to many recent Sony smartphones. Some other Sony Xperia Edge specs include an AMOLED screen, and a SND 835 processor which power ups the phone. There is also an iris scanner, and the phone’s frame is made of metal. Overall, this Sony Xperia Edge concept looks good, although many may not like the slope screen compared to Samsung Galaxy S8’s true curved screen.

Sony Xperia Edge concept: An interesting design

This Sony Xperia Edge concept is truly an interesting one, as it implements many elements not seen on Sony smartphones before. Hopefully, Sony will deliver these elements in their future phones. Do you like this concept?
