The popular Chinese phone maker has launched a new low budget smartphone called Vivo Y55s in India yesterday. It is a nice handset with decent specs and features. Are you curious about it? Let’s check it out.

Vivo Y55s Specs and Features

Vivo is a Chinese manufacturer and is one of the most popular phone brands in India. The company offers low-cost Android phones, and those in the mid-range segment of the market. Finally, Vivo has launched its new Y55s in India.  The device is an upgraded version of the Vivo Y55L which was launched in October 2016. Coming with a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5.2-inch screen it could be a hit inthe market of low budget smartphones.

In terms of specs the new Y55s features a 5.2-inch HD multitouch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Under the hood, it comes with a Quad-core 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 mobile processor clubbed with 3GB RAM and 16GB of internal memory. If you think the memory is not enough, you can expand it up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. 

As for photography, the phone sports a 13-megapixel camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The dual-SIM phone which accepts micro SIM, is working on Android Marshmallow-based Funtouch OS 3.0 and supports 4G LTE connectivity. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, Headphones, FM, 3G and 4G.

Vivo Y55s Price and Availability

With this Y55s, the company is aiming at the budget market. It will be the tough rival to the other handsets. The new Vivo Y55s has been priced at Rs 12,490 in India and will be available in two beautiful color options – crown gold and space grey across the country from 26th February 2017.
