New gossips from China claim that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will be launched on the market in mid-April this year. Coming as the country’s first phone with Snapdragon 835 SoC, this device is going to make a big hit in the market.

Xiaomi Mi 6 Launch Date Revealed

The Chinese manufacturer seems to be very busy this year. Just recently, Xiaomi has introduced its first in-house processor, the Pinecone Surge S1, as well as a new midrange phone, the Mi 5c and an entry-level device, the Redmi 4X. Now, it seems that the company is going to launch a new high-end phone, called Xiaomi Mi 6. According to rumors, the new Mi 6 will be officially released on April 16 in China.

As for specs, this upcoming smartphone is going to sport a 5.2-inch LCD display with a 2.5D glass on the top. As mentioned above, the device is expected to be the first Chinese phone which will be powered by a Snapdragon 835 SoC. Apparently, Xiaomi has planned to offer three variants of the Xiaomi Mi 6: two with a metal body and 4 GB of RAM together with 32 GB or 64 GB of internal storage and a ceramic body variant that will come with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of native storage.

In terms of optics, you will be surprised! The Xiaomi Mi 6 is said to be equipped with a primary shooter which is to be similar to the camera of the new Sony Xperia XZ Premium. If this is true, the Mi 6 could have a Sony Exmor RS lens that comes with 18 megapixels and is able to record videos in 960 frames per second!

The basic version of Xiaom’s Mi 6 with 4 GB of RAM + 32 GB of ROM will cost around CNY 1999 ($290), while the ceramic body variant with 6GB of RAM + 128GB is available for CNY 2500 ($365).
