4 signs Snapdragon chip is the top choice of 2016

For many concerned users, the chip set is an important factor when choosing a new smartphone to buy. And as we have observed so far, seems like Snapdragon chips by Qualcomm is being on the top of the list

1. Impressive Benchmark result

First of all, premium chip set Snapdragon 820 by Qualcomm has proven their capability by scoring impressive results in different Benchmark test. In a previous article, when we compared Samsung Galaxy S7 with Exynos 8890 chip and LG G5 with Snapdragon 820 chip, it was clear that Qualcomm lead the race.

Also, in another comparison, we put Samsung Galaxy S7 with Exynos 8890 next to Samsung Galaxy S7 with Snapdragon 820. And yes, you are thinking it right. The result is obvious: Snadragon 820 chip is stronger and boost smoother performance.

2. Chosen exclusively by top producers

Manufactured by a renown company – Qualcomm, proving itself with impressive Benchmark result, Snapdragon chip set has been chosen by many of the biggest smartphone producers out there. Just in the first quarter of 2016, we have had a bunch of mobiles that all feature the one of those Snapdragon processors: from Samsung to Sony, from HTC to Xiaomi and LG.

3. Chosen by more top producers as a variant

Even if a flagship was originally launched with a non – Snapdragon chip, we find out that their producer will gradually adapt another variant, like the case of Samsung Galaxy S7. Or another flagship – LG G5, after releasing the initial version with Snapdragon 820, the company has just confirmed the existence of an upcoming variant that runs over Snapdragon 654 processor.

4. Also suitable for lower-range devices

One other interesting fact is that, not only do top producers tend to choose Snapdragon chip over others, but more and more young companies and lower-range brands are picking this product. That being said, some of the most recently-launched mobile, even for the affordable smartphones, are having a Qualcomm chip set under the hood. Some examples are Oppo F1, Xiaomi Mi4, Lenovo Vibe X3 and so on.

In competition with other companies’ processors, Qualcomm seems to being doing a good job this year. More and more smartphones of all price ranges are being launched with a Snapdragon chip on board, and many more are hinting a Snapdragon smartphone in the near future.
