Alcatel Idol 5S – What we know so far…

A few months ago, the new Alcatel Idol 5S was spotted already on Geekbench. Now, it has been passing by GFXBench which reveals its features and specifications again. This phone was expected to be unveiled together with Idol 5 at MWC 2017 in February, which should be the successors of Idol 4 and Idol 4S. Instead the Alcatel U5, A3, and A5 have been announced.

Now, let’s have a look what the device can offer: According to the GFXBench listing, the new Idol 5S will feature a 5.2-inch display and makes use of a 1920 x 1080 resolution. Under the hood, you will find a MediaTek MT6757CH Helio P20 chipset paired with 3GB of RAM. In terms of native storage, the phone will be equipped with 32GB, which can be further expanded via a microSD card.

As for photography, the listing reveals that the Alcatel Idol 5S is going to come with a decent 12MP shooter on the back and an 8MP front snapper for selfies. Moreover it will run Android 7.0 Nougat right fromt the start, the latest operating system on the market. Sadly, there is no further information about battery capacity and design.
