Apple and Shazam have “exciting plans” for the futures!

Firstly, let’s get to know more about Shazam! This application belongs to a British app development company. Notably, Shazam can identify music or movies based on a short sample record by using the microphone of your handset. Furthermore, it can also recognize advertisement and even television shows! Previously, Shazam was one of the first applications to appear in the Apple App Store in 2008. With the iOS 8, Apple integrated the Shazam application into Siri.

Previously, Apple CEO Time Cook was fascinated by Shazam’s abilities before. However, it is not until this year that Apple has decided to acquire Shazam with $400 million contracts. On this case, Apple has released an official statement mentioning the purchase. Notably, they have also deemed Shazam as their acquisition target. For Apple, Shazam can support its music streaming service, personal assistant Siri and its new line of smart speakers.
