The patent seems to be the new chosen field of Chinese manufacturers. The biggest race to dominate smartphone market takes place everywhere all over the world, especially in China with Apple case.

Apple lawsuit: Chinese manufacturers piling up weapons

Primarily, it is necessary to understand that, for smartphone producers, patent is more powerful and important than anything else. Patent is a useful weapon against competitors. It does not only shows the potential of the smartphone makers but also helps the owners be possible to win in commercial disputes. Understanding the importance of patent, many domestic Chinese smartphone producers rapidly accumulate the patents by their tricks. For instance, there are franchise agreements, mergers or takeovers of these patents.

Wall Street Journal claimed that the huge wave of retaining patent possession right would start legal fights between giant techs such as Huawei, Lenovo. Apple and Samsung may be included also. Specifically, last month, Huawei Technologies announced that it has filed lawsuits against Korean rival – Samsung over alleged patent infringements in the U.S. and China.

Back to June, an unknown producer Shenzhen Baili, the Chinese company dealt a blow to Apple in patent infringement. Back then, Chinese authorities ordered technology giant – Apple to suspend sales of its latest iPhone models in Beijing since its patent infringement of Shenzen Baili design. Apple could not stand losing the case, they silently negotiated to pay compensation in order to settle the dispute.

This is the first time Chinese smartphone makers, which are known to voliate the copyright of smartphone has sued their fierce Western competitors for breach of copyright. And surprisingly, they won such battles. Although the truth behind these cases are not confirmed yet, it seems like these Chinese companies will use all their tricks to keep their place. They will not allow their market to be taken over by foreigner competitors.
