Apple iOS 11.4 with battery drain issue

To recap, Apple released the iOS 11.4 update last month. The update includes many new features and changes, but it appears to have brought along a serious problem. A large number of users who downloaded the new version iOS 11.4 are complaining about rapid battery drain issue. Besides, there are several threads discussing the problem on Apple’s official forum. That means a thousand users have confirmed the same issue with their unit.

One account shared: “My iPhone 6s has the same issue after updating to iOS 11.4. I charged it up to 100 per cent, rebooted it then let it standby for 4 hours, the battery indicator dropped to 40 per cent. It has been three days since I updated to ios 11.4 and this issue happened every day.” As a result, some people have suggested switching off the Wi-Fi. It does work in some cases, plus connecting to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network (instead of 5GHz) works for others.

However, several other users said none of these tricks worked for them. As a result, they had to roll back to the iOS 11.3.1 version, which made the battery life back to normal again. On a side note, Apple has released the upgraded iOS 12 not long ago. The new iOS is going to help make your Apple device feel faster than ever -particularly on older iPhones and iPads. With the new Apple iOS 12, the old iPhone 6 Plus can launch 40% more quickly. Moreover, the iPhone system keyboard reaches 50% increase in speed. Additionally, you can open the camera app 70% faster.
