Apple iPhone slowdown issue: it is “Not done intentionally”!

Previously, Apple has been under the fire for slowing down their iPhones through the iOS upgrade. In details, many iPhone users have complained about their iPhones’ decrease performances. After the accident, Apple has admitted they were indeed trying to slow down the iPhone’s peak performance. For a reason, Apple stated that their action could help to prevent the random shutdowns issue on old iPhone with degraded batteries.

Despite the explanation, many consumers were furious and sued Apple for possible violations of securities laws over slowing down of older iPhones. Most iPhone users were from South Korea and the US. Apple has issued an apology letter and even offered a big discount on the battery replacement. For iPhone 6 and iPhone 7 owners, they will only need to pay $29 to get a brand new battery. Furthermore, Apple promised to add a battery monitoring to iOS upgrade shortly.

On the other hand, Apple has released a new declaration today. The US tech giant stressed that they have never done anything “intentionally” to shorten the life of their products. They shared: “As we told our customers in December, we never have – and would never – do anything to intentionally shorten the life of any Apple product, or degrade the user experience to drive customer upgrades”. According to Apple, their goal was to “smooth out” peak power demands and prevent the old iPhones from sudden shutdowns as their lithium-ion batteries degrade. However, many users didn’t like the way that their Apple iPhone ability has decreased without any notifications.
