At the recent MWC 2015, Samsung launched their Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, receiving flows of positive reviews. In the meantime, LG is waiting for the heat of the two Galaxy Giants as well as HTC One M9 to die down before officially releasing its new flagship – The G4 on April 28. So the wait is almost over.

Days ago, LG put up a teaser video for the LG G4 that featured a leather-backed phone with an f/1.8 lens, complete with nearly identical back-facing buttons, flash and laser auto focus as the LG G3.

LG G4’s specs

The new phone comes with a 5.5-inch screen with a quad HD screen, a 3,000 mAh removable battery, and beside the built-in memory starting from 32GB, it also offer a micro SD card slot for expandable storage though all the way up to 128GB. Also, the circular power button on G3 was replaced by the rectangle button on G4.

By packing the G4 with Android 5 Lollipop on board, LG hopes to give more options than ever to its users including a full manual mode with RAW support and all the tweaks you can ask for.

LG G4’s special design

It’s still unclear whether the G4 will have a metal body or not, yet the event invite suggests leather – so your guess is as good as ours. To be honest, what makes us curious the most about the phone is the brown color leather located in the invitation.

Some even claimed that leather is on the back of many models but there are also a few other materials to choose from.

 

LG G4’s enhanced camera

As taking pictures is becoming a more and more popular hobby of consumers worldwide, and the demand for a high-resolution camera is of higher importance when choosing a smart phone than ever, it seems that, in order to catch up with the market trend, LG is featuring the G4’s camera as one of the phone’s selling points.

Rumors have it said, that LG G4 will possess an enhanced 16-megapixel f/1.8 camera on the back that’s set to challenge all the other phones available, with what LG is stating as “the fastest focus time ever” and the “widest aperture camera developed for a smartphone”.

In order words, LG G4 is expected to be excellent at taking photos in poor light conditions, taking in 80% more light than the LG G3, as well as produce sharper photos of fast-moving objects.

We are looking forward to learning more about the LG G4 on April 28, when the company’s official press event is hold in New York. A worldwide release should follow shortly after. With the LG G3 arriving on May 28, 2014, we expect the LG G4 to arrive by the end of May at the latest. And until now, there is no authorized information about the price has been revealed yet, but we will update it as soon as we get any further notice.
