Asus Zenfone 5 duo: AI Boost, 8GB RAM and more!

After the entry-level Zenfone 5 Lite announcement, Asus kicked start their main event at the MWC 2018 conference. They introduced Asus Zenfone 5 duo: Asus Zenfone 5 and a higher-end version Asus Zenfone 5z. Both of these Asus Zenfone smartphones come with similar design overall. However, there is a change in the processor as well as internal storage space. Firstly, Asus Zenfone 5 and Asus Zenfone 5z feature a metal frame and 2.5D curved glass on the front as well as the back panel.

In term of the display, Asus Zenfone 5 specs sport a 6.2-inch Super IPS (2246 x 1080 pixels resolution) with DCI-P3 support, 19:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, this Asus phone takes power from a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 chipset with 4GB/6GB RAM. Regarding the storage, Asus Zenfone 5 offers 64GB ROM, which is expandable up to 400GB. Moreover, Asus Zenfone 5 camera includes a dual 12MP (f/1.8) rear shooter and an 8MP (f/2.0) selfie snapper. The Zenfone 5 features a 3,300 mAh battery!

Notably, the bigger brother of Asus Zenfone 5 duo: Asus Zenfone 5z specs have similar display system. However, the Zenfone 5z runs on the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. Furthermore, the Asus Zenfone 5z arrives with different variants: 6GB RAM/64GB ROM, 8GB RAM/128GB ROM and 8GB RAM/256GB ROM. Notably, Asus Zenfone 5 duo is going to feature many AI setup. There is the AI Boost (for more power when gaming) and AI Photography (with scene detection, photo learning, portrait mode and beautification). Furthermore, you can have the AI Display (stays on while you’re looking at it and has automatic colour temperature adjustment), and even AI Ringtone (which automatically adjusts the volume according to how noisy your surroundings are). Finally, Asus has introduced a new ZeniMoji, which is their live-animated avatars which you can even use in video calls or live streams.

Asus Zenfone 5 Duo release date and price

According to Asus, the Asus Zenfone 5 and Asus Zenfone 5z release date falls in April 2018. As for the cost, Asus Zenfone 5 price is $500 (Rs. 32,000).
