New images of the Huawei’s P20 have just surfaced online. In fact, this is a completely different Huawei P20 from what we’ve seen earlier. The new images reveal the most striking difference we see in the prototype is the dual camera and the front design. In details, earlier CAD renders have painted the Huawei P20 as a triple camera device. However, this prototype shows a dual camera system on the back.

On the other hand, the source mentions that the Pro variant of the Huawei P20 will sport three lenses. While things seem vague at the moment, another big departure in design is seen in the front display where the prototype doesn’t feature a notch. After this prototype leak, we’re not sure if the notch is there on any of the P20 series phones. Instead, Huawei might be planning an in-display fingerprint reader on the P20 as the images don’t show a physical sensor anywhere.

Besides, Huawei’s P20 will also seemingly come with touch volume controls instead of physical buttons. This is probably a unique design change from the Chinese handset maker. Also, we don’t expect a 3.5mm headphone jack. At the bottom is a double grill for stereo speakers. However, it’s probable that one of the two speakers will provide a microphone for calls.

MWC 2018 event: what to expect?

Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 is the biggest mobile show of the year with the best pieces of stuff unveiled. Samsung Galaxy S9 duo flagship should be the highlight of the event with bigger model’s dual cameras and variable apertures. Besides, Nokia 7 Plus, Nokia 1 and maybe Nokia 4 or Nokia 9 are coming too. Moreover, there expects flagship Sony Xperia XZ Premium 2, XZ2 and XZ2 Compact along with LG V30 (AI-focused variant).

Besides, Asus Zenfone 5 (also Zenfone 5 Lite and Zenfone 5 Max), ZTE Blade V9 and Alcatel 5, 3V and 1X are some other handsets to come. Besides, we might welcome some other cool gadgets such as Huawei Watch 3 (smartwatch) or Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 (tablet). Moreover, it is likely that folding phones have been just over the horizon for years now. Thus, MWC 2018 would be the ideal place for it to launch.

Sadly, we probably won’t see LG G7 and HTC U12 for another couple of months at least. Also, we won’t see Huawei P20/P11 trio at MWC 2018 either, as we’ve received an invitation from Huawei on March 27. Meanwhile, Xiaomi will not bring the Mi 7 to Barcelona, but we may see its new chipset – the Surge S2.

1. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro

Xiaomi has been always a favourite in the budget segment and this time it’s joining the party as well. Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a 5.99-inch bezel-less (18:9) display which looks beautiful and marks the entry of Xiaomi in bezel-less phones in the budget segment. The infinity full-HD+ display has a resolution of (1080 x 2160) pixels, with good viewing angles and vibrant and punchier colours. This is the first phone to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 636 mobile platform, which was announced last October. The Redmi Note 5 Pro is available with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM, although the storage remains the same at 64GB in both variants.

The display is large but the phone isn’t because of the smaller bezels and the display is covered with 2.5D glass. It is powered by a Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 659 SoC, coupled with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB or 64 GB of internal memory, plus there is a MicroSD card slot which can be used to increase the storage up to 256GB. The Honor 9 Lite bears dual camera setups on both sides. In both the front and back, the phone sports a 13MP primary camera with a 2MP secondary camera. The phone is powered by a 3000 mAH battery. Overall, Honor 9 Lite looks like a great looking budget device with a decent price of some $280.

3. LG Q6

LG Q6 is the next one on this list. With extremely slim screen borders, it is the first budget phone with the Fullvision 18:9 screen, and comes with a resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels, (442 ppi).
