Samsung vs LG phones to have four curved edges

While every manufacturer is making bigger and bigger phones, Samsung vs LG are working on maximizing usable screen areas. Let’s see how practical this is…

Samsung vs LG

Samsung vs LG reportedly working on displays with four curved edges?

Looking back when we were switching from feature phones to smartphones, touchscreens were just like a miracle. Then smartphones users started to ask for better and bigger displays. Recently, we have seen several phones with curved displays or edges. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge must be the first one coming to our mind. While the latest Galaxy S8 display is maximized with almost no bezel and physical home button area, Samsung together with LG are now working on a new display for their phones.

The unique screen is said to be curved on all and four sides. However, Samsung vs LG are facing some technical problems with the lamination process. Curving all the sides with the current lamination process “makes the corners unable to register touch”. So the new display will not come until next year. Samsung vs LG are still working to fix the problem. If any of them can produce a phone with curves and edges on four sides, the screen to body size ratio will go up to 98%.

Samsung vs LG

In a recent report, Apple has placed an order of 70 million OLED displays from Samsung. This is very likely what you will see on the 10th anniversary iPhone. However, it is also noted that Apple chose flat OLED panels instead of the trendy curved displays. We are waiting to see if these displays would belong to iPhone 7s and 7s Plus or iPhone 8.

Samsung vs LG to make better displays?

Recently, a good news arrived for both Samsung and Apply when Samsung Galaxy S8 display was rated as the best among all. Samsung seems to never stop striving for better products when it is now joining hands with the Korean giant LG. When do think the new displays would come?

Concept Design

Concept Design of the Galaxy Note 8?

The concept design of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is definitely amazing, if you take a close look at the first picture above, you will really understand that this phone gonna be a competition destroyer. The Galaxy Note 8 will take your understanding about smartphones to another level after the Note 7 failed to impress fans, Samsung assured that the next Note flagship will make you go crazy. If the concept design of the Galaxy Note is to be believed, we are also sure that it will be an eye-catching smartphone and also friendly users.

The concept video, posted to DBS Designing’s YouTube channel and highlighted at BGR, shows a phone that takes the S8’s Infinity Display and expands it even further. We do not actually have the full access to all the galaxy Note 8 specs, but some of it will come with a 6.4-inch Quad HD+ display screen wich stretches from one end to end. The phone will offer a 6GB RAM for that smooth performance and 128GB ROM for the internal storage. There will be an USB Type-C port, and the device will also be water and dust resistant with an improved IP.

Samsung already confirmed a few months ago that it was going to revive the comeback of the Note, so you can expect an excellent phone that will not explode like the previous model ( Galaxy Note 7).

For the availability of this beast, we expect it to come in August, as the company has been launching other Note phones in only August. The Galaxy Note 8 price is not revealed yet, and there is no rumor about it too, so we will keep you up to date when we hear more, thanks.

Meizu E2 will be revealed end of April!

Meizu, dubbed the “Apple of Asia”, is known for phones with very good specs, and reasonable price. At the end of this month, it will reveal a new smartphone, Meizu E2!

Meizu E2

Meizu E2 will be revealed end of April!

Meizu E2 will be launched end of this month. Meizu has confirmed that fact, and also has sent out invitations to the company’s event, which is the introduction of the new phone. Meizu VP Li Nan has not revealed much, but he stated that there would be a new design language, and the phone will be a break from the usual M-series. However, the image in the invitations looks just like the Meizu M5s, so we will have to wait and see what is in store for us.

Right before the event, there are already some leaks of the back of the phone. It will feature four LEDs, which will alternate between cool and warm colors in a straight line. For now, we do not know the purpose of this arrangement, but those LEDs stay very neatly on top antenna line, right next to the camera lens. The rest of the Meizu E2’s back is similar to what the company has produced, with the exception of the camera (Meizu’s camera is usually at the center, not at one corner).

Meizu E2

Previous reports also suggested that this device has already been certified by TENAA already, under the code M612C. If that is indeed the same phone, Meizu E2 specs will include a 5.5″ Full HD screen with a mTouch fingerprint scanner. There will also be an octa-core processor (brand unknown) with 4GB of RAM to back it up. The already seen back camera will still have 13MP lens. Also, it is expected to have a USB-C port and the headphone jack.

Meizu E2: Coming very soon!

Meizu E2 launch date is inching very close, on the 26 of this month. The expected Meizu E2 price is CNY 1,700 (under $250, or Rs. 16,090). Do you want to buy the phone?

iPhone 8 render looks amazing!

This year is going to be special for Apple, as it is the 10-year anniversary for the iPhone. A lot has been supposedly leaked about the new iPhone 8, and has been put together in this amazing iPhone 8 render!

iPhone 8 render

iPhone 8 render looks amazing!

iPhone has always been a hot topic, but this year it has become more so. This year marks the 10 years iPhone has been in the industry, and people expect the next iPhone (called iPhone 8) to be amazing. DBS Designing Team has come up with a new iPhone 8 design based on what details could be on the new device so far. The general big catch is that it will have an immersive screen, like many other flagships are doing now. There are obviously some hints of its competitor, the Galaxy S8, in this concept.

This iPhone will have a 5.5″ Quad HD screen. For the frame, the rounded corner corners are similar to the recent iPhones, which make it stand out more. For the intro video, it is executed really well, with the right music being used, and the background is really excellent, making the phone look amazing. The phone colors shown in the video are red, black, gray and pink. Also, the phone looks to be very slim, and it is hard to make out whether the phone is all metal or sports a glass back.

However, something is clear: this iPhone 8 render will have dual back camera, and will also be waterproof. As expected, there will be no physical home button at the front. At its original will be an Apple logo, right below the screen area. It is thought that the same position may be the fingerprint scanner. The fingerprint sensor is placed beneath the glass, so it may use ultrasonic technology. Both front and back camera would have great improvement, with both having f/1.7 aperture. There is also wireless charging!

iPhone 8 render: An amazing phone

Although it is just a concept, the iPhone 8 render is truly amazing. Hopefully, when the phone launches, it will be as amazing as this design. Do you look forward to the new iPhone?

Nokia 8 intro video leaked!

There have been a lot of words about the Nokia 9, the supposedly flagship from the Finnish company. However, Nokia 8 is also gathering attention, with the recent Nokia 8 intro video having been leaked!

nokia 8 intro video

Nokia 8 intro video leaked!

After all the hype about Nokia 9 (there were leaked render and concepts based on that), now is the time for news about Nokia 8. This time it is a whole Nokia 8 intro video being leaked! It is about a new Nokia 8 render. The author of this one is Concept Creator, and the design stays true to what we have known so far about the phone. With Nokia 9, it felt like a rectangular Galaxy S8, but this Nokia 8 will be a bit different from that.

First is the camera area. We can see that the flash and fingerprint scanner is grouped together in a module, and are covered with glass. The phone shape is still rectangular, made of mostly glass metal. However, this design does not follow recent trends, as there is still a physical home button at the front. At the back, there is a dual lens camera. The screen is what we expected, very immersive and almost bezel-less. The phone looks quite thin, and the back seems to be covered with plastic, not metal. You can see the Nokia 8 intro video below.

The designer did not mention any specs. However, with what we know so far, Nokia 8 specs would be like those of the upper mid-range phones. Many people confuse this with Nokia 9, which has SND 835 processor. In reality, it may only have the latest SND 6xx chipset, or maybe SND 820/821. It is expected to have 4 to 6GB RAM, plua a huge battery and, of course, Carl Zeiss camera. Regardless of that, the specs are still quite impressive.

Nokia 8: Another trump card of Nokia

With all that said, Nokia 8 could be another trump card from the Finnish company this year. Hopefully when it is released, it will manage to awed everyone of us. Are you excited for the phone?
