HTC Ocean Note to sport a unique feature!

At the start of this year, a smartphone rumored to be the HTC Ocean Note was leaked with no buttons and a contextual UI, without further details. Some time has passed, and now we have a new screenshot leaked. This shows a unique “Edge Sense” feature for the smartphone. This could shed some light on the HTC Ocean Note’s tweaked UI and the new Edge-controlled features.

Evan Blass, a famous leaker, also known as @evleaks on Twitter, recently shared a link from a Chinese site that has the leaked pictures, as well as some specification details. The screenshot shows that the phone will come with an “Edge Sense” feature, and it is assumed that it relates to the UI. One possible outcome is that the phone could have curved edge, and specific functions can be performed on the edges – pretty much like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, which can be turned on or off. It could also be something new entirely!

The Chinese site calls this function “Sense Touch”, which is a feature that has been leaked for the HTC Ocean Note as well. There were also some HTC Ocean Note specs on the site as well. There is a new entry-level mobile phone from BlackBerry. Many rumors and leaked images has been swirling around the net for a few days. Now it is officially launched, but only available in Indonesia. In contrast to the recently introduced BlackBerry KeyOne which is produced by the Chinese TCL , the Aurora is not made by TCL. The new device is produced by BB Merah Putih, a local smartphone provider in Indonesia.

The Aurora is Blackberry’s first dual SIM mobile phone and brings up advanced entry-level hardware. These include a quad-Core Snapdragon 425 mobile processor, 4GB of RAM combined with 32GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card as well as a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1.280 x 720 pixels.

In terms of  power, the new Aurora features a battery with the capacity of 3,000 mAh, definitely enough for daily usage. As for cameras, the company equipped its latest BlackBerry with a 13MP rear sensor and an 8MP front snapper for nice selfies. Moreover, it measures  152 x 76.8 x 8.5mm and weighs 178g and is working on Androit 7.0 Nougat. Unlike the last BlackBerry mobile device, this one sports a touch-only display, that means it has no physical keyboard like the KEYone.

Nokia Edge 3D trailer: Stunning design

A fresh video of Nokia Edge has been spotted recently. The phone design belongs to Techconfigurations, and it is absolutely beautiful. It looks even better than most flagships these days. The device has the typical metal build and a curved glass panel upfront. The dual front speakers are also a nice touch, especially since the Galaxy S8 won’t have that. The back side also curves at the edges, much like the Galaxy S7 and Note 7. The specs are pretty solid too. Nokia Edge will have a 5.7″ 2K AMOLED screen, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

Under the hood is 6GB of RAM and a quad-core processor. The Snapdragon 835 is an octa-core, so this phone will probably use another chip. Maybe Nokia will make its own processor like what Xiaomi and Huawei are doing. But it’s just a wild guess. On the back panel, we also get a 24 megapixel main camera, with 4K video recording and OIS, plus a 12 MP selfie shooter with built-in retina scanner. The back camera is quite protruded, but it still looks nice.

Other features include a non-removable battery of unknown capacity and fast battery charging technology. The phone also supports USB Type-C and expandable storage up to 256GB. Luckily enough, Nokia Edge will still have a 3.5mm audio jack on the top. The phone will run on the latest Android 7.0 version out of the box.

Nokia refuse to answer any question about their future products. However, we know for sure that a new Nokia flagship will come this June. It could be the Nokia Edge or any other high-end device from Nokia like Nokia 8 or Nokia 9. So now, sit back and keep your finger crossed.

iPhone Edition: The next iPhone to come

According to Apple’s tradition, iPhone 7s and 7s Plus will surely be announced this year. However, most sources have stated that a third iPhone will come along. Back then, most believe that it would be called iPhone 8. However, a recent leak from a Japanese site Mac Otakara said it would be called iPhone Edition. It will likely be a more premium smartphone and target high-end consumers. That would make sense, as it would fit with the premium Apple Watch Edition.

While we now have a better idea of the new iPhone’s name, its specs and features remain a mystery. According to that site, most of the rumors we’ve heard are true, such as AMOLED screens, curved screens, the removal of the home button and a glass back. They also said that everything is still being tested and Apple apparently hasn’t decided which to use yet. In fact, Apple did request parts fitting the rumors, but that doesn’t mean they’ll enter mass production.

So far, we’ve only known that iPhone Edition will use a 5-inch range display. The phone will also come with dual camera setup, wireless charging and Lightning connector. We are still not sure if these rumors are true or not, but Mac Otakara has always been a reliable source when it comes to Apple products.

That site also claimed that the iPhone Edition will be announced alongside the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus in September. But iPhone Edition won’t go on sale at the same time with those two other models. The specific date and price was also not mentioned.

About the visual aspect, Jason said that the remake’s appearance was still in development, and that the change in engine and the difference in visual are not related at all. What was in the demo last year was just a rough style the team was experimenting with, to push for crisper visual. He also said that art direction was a low priority, since the whole team wanted the technology used could handle what they want to create, hence the engine change. Now that they have the pipelines all set up, style and mood will be taken care of.
