Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Specs Leak Again: 5.7-inch Display And 128GB ROM
During the past days, we have heard reports that Xiaomi is preparing its new high-end smartphone which will launch in the second semester of 2016. The suspected smartphone is Xiaomi Mi Note 2.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 specifications leak again
Last week, it was reported that Xiaomi would produce three variants of Mi Note 2, but more detailed information relating to the spesifications was not clear yet. Wireless charging: The reasons why it is NOT recommended
Wireless charging is always an appealing feature in smartphones. However, does it really assist your device? I don’t think so. Let’s take a look at our reasons why this technology is never a good choice for you.

Wireless charging: NOT battery-friendly
First of all, wireless charging is not as efficient as cable charging. Many users think that wireless charger is less annoying thanks to the lack of the cable. But they don’t know that wireless charging comes with lower capacity. It takes a bit longer to fully charge a smartphone via wireless charging than via cable charging. So I would prefer a cable which is annoying yet powerful.
Secondly, wireless charging can drain your battery. This does not happen to the devices from big brands. However, with products from common brands, there are reports that many smartphone batteries lose their capacity after a while if wireless charger is used. So at this point, you may think that cable charging is not really annoying right?

Thirdly, wireless charging heats up the device! We all know that battery heats up a bit during charging time, but when we use a wireless charger, both the phone and the charging dock heat up! So in this case, the smartphone heats up both from the inside and the outside! And this may lead to the malfunction of not only the battery but also many other electronics of your phone if you use this method for a long time!
Wireless charging: NOT budget-friendly
Last but not least, wireless charging is NOT budget-friendly. It is obvious that smartphones with wireless charger cost much higher than smartphones with cable charger. Another reason is that cable charging often comes with a removable cable, which can be replaced easily. The cable can also be used to connect your phone to your laptop.
LCD and AMOLED display: What are the differences?
You must be familiar with LCD and AMOLED display, but have you ever wondered what they are and what are the differences between them? Let’s have a look!

LCD and AMOLED display: What are the differences?
First of all, between LCD and AMOLED, let’s talk about LCD first. LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) is a technology that produces images and colors only from a backlight, which is mostly blue LED backlight. This light goes through several layers (two polarizers, two glass plates and one color filter) before it reaches the surface of the screen. The liquid crystal is located between the two glass plates. This crystal is in charge of controlling the light that goes through it. To be more specific, the liquid crystal adjusts the angle of the light depending on the voltage applied to it. Then finally, a red, green, or blue color filter is applied to this light, and these sub-pixels are grouped into pixels to adjust colors across the display.
Then we have AMOLED display (Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode). Different from LCD display, this technology produces images and colors from individual tiny pixels! The pixel is actually a micro Light Emitting Diode (LED) which is arranged in red, blue, green clusters. When the voltage is applied, these clusters will adjust their brightness in order to create the target color. When maximum brightness is reached, we have white color.

So overall while LCD produces images via a single big backlight going through a liquid crystal, AMOLED display show the pictures via countless single LEDs which are shrunk down into micro pixels. So between LCD and AMOLED, AMOLED display offers more lively-looking images, with wider range of colors, but the pictures on the LCD looks smoother and more natural.
LCD and AMOLED display: Which one is better?
There are still many debates on which one is better than the other. But I would say it depends! AMOLED display save more battery than the LCD. Because AMOLED display will turns off a percentage of the pixels when the target color is black, while in LCD, the backlight is always on. However, AMOLED display cannot be featured in foldable or flexible display, not to mention that smartphones with AMOLED screen are much more expensive! So between LCD and AMOLED, which one is your choice?
Android Nougat: official name of Android N
Are you ready for the newest version of Android ? Because this OS will come in this summer with the name Android Nougat. Together with this new Android is the next generation of Nexus brand.
Android N is officially called Android Nougat
And you can download this newest version to try on this summer. Because the Android Nougat release date is officially on Q3, 2016. At the same time, you’ll be able to see the next generation of Nexus brand. As the new Nexus smartphone always comes with the new Android version. Nexus 2016 will be launch earlier than usual. The previous Nexus handsets usually show up from the end of September to the end of October.

With its new product, Google brings a lot of features to it. We can name some like an improved split screen multitasking, an improved notification shade, direct reply notifications, new quick settings menu, Doze mode 2.0, bundle notifications, etc. So, can this new OS be Android 7.0. We still haven’t been sure about that. This US company sometimes chooses the different names for the updates of one OS. In the Android 4, the company has 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 4.1 Jelly Bean, and 4.4 KitKat.
Android Nougat: which phone will feature it?
” Can my phone get this new update?”, you may have this question in your mind. And if you own a recent flagship smartphone which is less than 2 years, the answer is yes. However, you may have to wait for a while. Like the Marshmallow version, many phones still don’t have this update. HTC has promised to bring this Nougat to its HTC 10, One A9 and One M9. However, there is no detailed time. So, if you can’t wait, you can buy a Nexus phone. It’s always the first phone to feature the newest Android.

Flagship camera comparison: LG G5 VS HTC 10 VS Galaxy S7 edge
Today, we would like to give you a flagship camera comparison in which LG G5, HTC 10 and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge will be examined. Then, you will know which one is the best at taking photos. Check it out now!

Information
Those are there of the most well-known flagships in the H1 of 2016, coming with modern, powerful specifications including cameras. And their rear shooters are what we are going to focus on in this post. As we know, HTC 10’s cam sports UltraPixel tech, a 12MP, 1.55µm sensor, f/1.8 aperture, OIS (to capture things well in the dark), laser autofocus, and dual LED flash. As for Samsung Galaxy S7 edge’s, this time the manufacturer decides to reduce the sensor to 12 megapixels (compared to the S6 edge’s 16MP). Though, they claim that the quality of images are better thanks to 1.4µ pixel size, PDAF, OIS, LED flash, and a slightly brighter f/1.7 aperture (compared to the HTC 10).
About LG G5’s main snapper, it boasts kind of a totally different one. A dual camera system stays on the back, consisting of a 16MP sensor (with f/1.8) and an 8MP one (f/2.4) giving 135° wide angle. Besides, laser autofocus, OIS (3-axis), plus LED flash are also on board to help produce beautiful pictures. In general, we can see that all of them have autofocus (AF) feature, but according to many people’s experience, the HTC 10’s Laser AF does not bring major innovations while the S7 edge’s Dual Pixel AF is said to be the best AF system in both good and bad light conditions.
So, those are some basic pieces of info about the cams. In reality, we would like to only talk about how they take photos outdoors, indoors and in low-light environments.
Outdoors
Firstly, basing on many shots by LG G5, Galaxy S7 edge, and HTC 10 in daylight, we notice that HTC 10 tends to use higher ISO which prevents dark things from being too dark, captures shadow areas better, and provides cleaner edges. Meanwhile, the others use lower ISO and the same dark things are not very clear in the pics. In terms of rendering colors, it is reported that brightly colored details cause problems for the snappers. Specifically, the Samsung’s handset has issues in all three color channels (red, blue and yellow) while the HTC 10’s got a lesser extent and the LG G5 struggles with blue, less with red and okay with green.
Even though the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge doesn’t do well in shooting dark parts, it does best for the rest ones. Images taken by the S7 edge are rendered with rich detail (and of course we’re talking about their bright parts). Then, the LG G5 comes second and the HTC 10 comes last. So, no doubt all the devices have their advantages and disadvantages when it comes to shootings outdoors and we can hardly say which one is the winner.
Next, let’s see how the cams work indoors.
Indoors
Indoors but there is still light although it is not natural like outdoor environment. The smartphones were used to capture richly detailed things and the result is that HTC 10 got it right; the richly detailed object in the picture taken by the HTC 10 has a “lifelike look”. The Galaxy S7 was okay despite creating some artifacts due to the shooter’s strong sharpening. As for the LG G5, it smoothed out the detail too much; even the sharpening could not make it look like the real object. After many shots, finally HTC 10 was chosen as the winner thanks to often rendering its targets in sharp detail.
Low-light conditions
Last but not least, we’re gonna find out which is the king of taking pics in low-light environments. Many images in various lighting conditions (dark, dark with bright lights, etc.) were shot and LG G5 should be the champion because the machine captured the most detail without flash, but it still had super strong flash to boot. Samsung Galaxy S7 edge had good and not good moments and HTC 10 was only produce noisy photos and worse when working with flash.
