Samsung will SELL their curved display technology
You will see more edge smartphones in future since Samsung will spread their display tech to other Original Equipment Manufacturers (or OEMs)…
Samsung’s plan for 2016: Spreading its curved display tech to Chinese OEMs like Xiaomi, Huawei and…
Though Samsung Galaxy smartphones are quite highly evaluated, they still have to try their best to compete with other brands. However, you would also agree with us that Samsung does own one thing that helps them stand out in the mobile world: edge devices. Since 2014 when the company first introduced their Galaxy Note edge, Samsung has been making handsets with curved displays. And as we know, the latest one is Samsung Galaxy S7 edge launched at MWC 2016 last month.
No one can deny that the S7 edge is completely gorgeous in terms of design and specifications. But, if there is just one or two Samsung edge models debuting per year, it seems like consumers do not have various choices, rite?! Nonetheless, you do not need to worry much about that from now on because according to recent news, Samsung will be supplying their dual edge display tech to OEMs like Xiaomi, Huawei and Vivo.
Speaking more specifically, a report from ET News (via The Droid Guy) informs people that Samsung has been in talks with those Chinese manufacturers. And if what we’ve heard so far really comes true, we totally can look forward to Xiaomi, Huawei and more Vivo’s edge machines next year.
But, didn’t we have the curved Vivo Xplay 5 and BlackBerry Priv?
Actually, previously we got BlackBerry Priv and lately the new Vivo Xplay 5 sporting curved screens yet no edge features like the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. They are said to be more for form and looks rather than function. Anyway, that’s a good start, after all, huh?! Share with us what you think about this new plan of Samsung!

Although no other phone has reached such capacity, we already see more than one mobile with a huge ROM launched to our market. 64GB, or even 128GB built-in memory is no longer a strange thing to us nowadays. And in 2016, seems like more and more smartphones will be launching with the same feature.
3. Recent smartphones come with different ROM variants
Not every smartphone are launched with a huge internal storage. However, many come with different ROM variants to better fit many customers’ needs. This is a sign that smartphone producers know about the concern of customers and try to adapt themselves with the new trend. In 2016, the year when new smartphones are expected to come with the most updated technology, we can totally say that even when the base version of upcoming phones won’t support huge ROM, there will be an extended variant for you to choose.

4. Huge ROM smartphones can be found with cheaper price
If you have followed up with the trend recently, you may recognized that, even recent Chinese and budget smartphones are offering more of a bigger memory. If a year later, it’s hard to find any $250 – worth mobile with a bigger storage than 16GB, we can now have 32GB, even 64GB for the same price tag. This is absolutely a great piece of news for users who seek affordable smartphones yet still prefer to have a big space to store all their favorite media.
The first quarter of 2016 is passing by, and we have already seen many interesting movements in the smartphone market. With 4 signs we spotted thus far, it is very potential to come to a conclusion that, more smartphones will be launched along this year with a HUGE ROM

Nokia now and then: “Somehow, we lost” VS “There is no rush”
Nokia CEO ended his speech saying this “we didn’t do anything wrong, but somehow, we lost”. The internet is spinning around this saying of Nokia CEO. However, things are a lot different to Nokia now…

Nokia back then: losing a game
In ending his speech at the press conference to announce Nokia being acquired by Microsoft, Nokia CEO said “we didn’t do anything wrong, but somehow, we lost”, bitterly. And the internet has gone crazy about this since an article was published on Linkedin. People’s been talking about how harsh it is to compete in the business environment, especially in the fast-changing technology world.
Nokia is no doubt a respectable company. Their work has been admired by millions of people all around the world. That explains why their so-called failure back in 2013 had saddened Nokia fans too much. Both Nokia and their fans bitterly accept the ugly truth that, everything can happen, even when you are one of the strongest. Yes, everything can happen, which also means, that did not necessarily put an end to Nokia’s business.

Several years later, in 2016, Nokia is “emerging” back in their battle field, and promised to be even stronger. Nokia CEO of today, Rajeev Suri, had previously confirmed the come back, which blew fans away! More excitingly, Nokia showed up at MWC 2016, a huge conference in the mobile industry to announce that they are working on a high-end handset and “there’s no timeline, there’s no rush.” Nokia is definitely coming back real soon, but regarding the release of a new phone, their CEO added that “it could happen in 2016, it could happen later.”
Nokia Smartphones now: it’s not over yet!
Rumors had it said, Nokia “didn’t do anything wrong, but somehow, lost”. That was true, but was the story of years ago, back in 2013. Now it’s 2016, and the legend is awakening, with great plans in their mind, and a whole world to prove their worth. We are here, waiting for your fight back, Giant!

Huawei P9 is ready? Check out what we’ve got so far!
As we know, Huawei did not introduce their flagship P9 at MWC 2016 perhaps because the company was not ready enough; they want a big event for their star. And since the handset is still a secret, we still see many leaks spread on the internet. The latest reliable one is that Huawei P9 will sport a metal frame, a dual rear camera setup, a USB Type-C port and a fingerprint scanner placed on the back.
Furthermore, not long ago, some renders were spotted, showing a device featuring a 2.5D curved screen on the front. The borders seem very slim and the power button and volume controls are built in the P9’s right side. Moreover, we’re pretty sure that the phone will be available in gold, white, pink and gray. Those are some main points about Huawei P9 design. How about its specifications?
Accordingly, Huawei P9 specs will include a Kirin 950 chip, 4GB of RAM and a 5.2-inch display to be basic. Besides, there are also rumors saying that the P9 will come with other variants such as a cheaper Huawei P9 Lite and a phablet Huawei P9 Max. Lenovo to launch a 4.7 inch ZUK smartphone
ZUK, a sub-brand company of Lenovo, has just revealed some interesting news for us. Latest rumors are suggesting that they are working on a mini smartphone with a handy display of 4.7 inch.

4.7 inch ZUK smartphone – direct rival to iPhone 5se
We don’t know yet about this handy ZUK smartphone. However, our sources are saying that, there will be 2 versions for users to choose: a 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage and a 3GB RAM with 32GB of built-in memory. This is a great news for those who consider over 5.0 inch smartphones rather big and bulky, as well as those who are a fan of Lenovo and ZUK smartphone.
Specs wise, the new Lenovo smartphone will run on a Helio X10 chip set by MediaTek, with 8 cores clocks at 2 GHz. There said to be a fingerprint scanner and inherit the design from best-selling ZUK Z1 smartphone. With the official news from Apple about their upcoming iPhone 5se – also packing a 4.7 inch display, is this ZUK phone meant to be a direct rival to the 5se? We will see soon 🙂

Apart from what we have written above, there is not much to be said about the phone. However, unlike ZUK Z1, which only went through China and some other near-by market, this time, we are expecting an international version of the phone, which runs Cyanogen OS.
4.7 inch ZUK smartphone – bringing back a trend?
After a while, seems like smartphones with rather small displays are coming back to be trendy, for its convenience as well as handiness. We can’t wait to know further about the new 4.7 inch ZUK phone, as well as its release date and price (which will absolutely be much more affordable than iPhone 5se). Personally, do you prefer a smartphone with a maximum display space, or a handy one that fit in and feels convenient to hold?

You need to note that there are two different models and the 6GB RAM device is not the Xplay 5, but Xplay 5 Elite. As for Vivo Xplay 5 Elite specs, it comes with an all-alloy body protected by Gorilla Glass 4. On the front, you will see a dual-curved 5.43-inch Super AMOLED Quad HD screen which reminds us of Samsung Galaxy edge machines. Nokia 809 PureView has a very outstanding design and super powerful camera. We bet it will become one of the most gorgeous smartphones by Nokia this year. Check it out now!

Nokia 809 – Winner of Design
To make the comeback more special and impressive, we guess Nokia would need something like Nokia 809. It is not like any phones out there, especially the camera. Specifically, 809 has a glossy all-metal body with a big Nokia logo on the back and physical buttons for volume and photography on its sides. As for the main cam, it can be rotated to become a selfie shooter. So cool, isn’t it?
Spec-wise, Nokia 809 is said to sport Windows Mobile OS, a handy 4.3-inch AMOLED screen with ClearBlack Gorilla and 1280 x 768 pixels resolution, and a 1.5GHz chipset. Under the hood, there are 32/64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB), 3GB of RAM, and a 2,800mAh battery on board to help run the whole handset. In general, they are decent features that can do whatever task you want. But, the most important selling point of the 809 is its cam.

Yes! How can we forget such an amazing primary snapper included in Nokia 809 specs? It is capable of up to 41 megapixels and equipped with the famous PureView technology and 3x optical zoom. We’re sure your pictures will be absolutely fantastic. Furthermore, you can also twist the shooter to make it a front one. Well, 41MP PureView for selfies? Awesome!
Nokia 809 price and availability
About the Nokia 809 price, although no words have been made for that yet, we assume with those excellent specifications and design, $280-$350 can be reasonable and Nokia 809 can defeat many competitors from other big brands like Samsung, Sony, Xiaomi, Meizu, Huawei, etc. this year.
