Though Samsung Galaxy smartphones are quite highly evaluated, they still have to try their best to compete with other brands. However, you would also agree with us that Samsung does own one thing that helps them stand out in the mobile world: edge devices. Since 2014 when the company first introduced their Galaxy Note edge, Samsung has been making handsets with curved displays. And as we know, the latest one is Samsung Galaxy S7 edge launched at MWC 2016 last month.

No one can deny that the S7 edge is completely gorgeous in terms of design and specifications. But, if there is just one or two Samsung edge models debuting per year, it seems like consumers do not have various choices, rite?! Nonetheless, you do not need to worry much about that from now on because according to recent news, Samsung will be supplying their dual edge display tech to OEMs like Xiaomi, Huawei and Vivo.

Speaking more specifically, a report from ET News (via The Droid Guy) informs people that Samsung has been in talks with those Chinese manufacturers. And if what we’ve heard so far really comes true, we totally can look forward to Xiaomi, Huawei and more Vivo’s edge machines next year.

We are putting them in a comparison because they both have high-resolution camera sensors that is rotating – making sure to impress you right as first sight. Let’s break them down into a specs competition, to see which among the two is more appealing to you.

First of all, let’s talk about their camera. Visually, both mobiles has a rotating modules that are pretty bold, obvious and  stunning-looking. While Nokia 809 camera sports a 41MP Pureview, Nokia 1008 camera is a bit less in resolution with 38MP Pureview. Yes, after the flagship duo Samsung Galaxy S7 launched at MWC 2016 last month, the company will probably release a new model belonging to Samsung Galaxy A series to attract consumers. The one we want to mention is Galaxy A9 Pro, considered as a more advanced variant of the phablet Galaxy A9 announced in December 2015. Not long ago, it was certified on TENAA and now, it has shown up on Antutu benchmark with some specific features.

Specifically, Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro specs will pack a 6-inch Full HD screen (which is different from what GFXBench told us previously), a Snapdragon 652 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. As for camera, the main one is capable of 16 megapixels instead of 13 megapixels found on the Galaxy A9 while the front-facing snapper for selfies is expected to be 8 megapixels.

In general, according to what we’ve got so far, Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro seems an excellent handset after the flagship Galaxy S7 duo. Though, there are still some unknown features and we’d better wait for the manufacturer’s confirmation in the next days. 2. More smartphones launched with huge ROM

Rumors have it said, that Samsung Galaxy Note 6 is likely to become the first smartphone that feature a huge ROM of up to 256GB. Although no other phone has reached such capacity, we already see more than one mobile with a huge ROM launched to our market. 64GB, or even 128GB built-in memory is no longer a strange thing to us nowadays. And in 2016, seems like more and more smartphones will be launching with the same feature.

3. Recent smartphones come with different ROM variants

Not every smartphone are launched with a huge internal storage. However, many come with different ROM variants to better fit many customers’ needs. This is a sign that smartphone producers know about the concern of customers and try to adapt themselves with the new trend. In 2016, the year when new smartphones are expected to come with the most updated technology, we can totally say that even when the base version of upcoming phones won’t support huge ROM, there will be an extended variant for you to choose.

As we all know, Samsung showed up at MWC 2016 to introduce their new flagships called Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge. It is not strange at all when they are able to attract thousands or even millions of people in the world. Yet, latest news informed t the handsets have been going on pre-order and reaching an amazing number.

Speaking more specifically, there were an unofficial report saying Samsung is having an explosion with the pre-orders of the duo and about to create a new record. In fact, the devices are up for pre-order in 60 markets, and according to Eldar Murtazin, a tech journalist in Russia, 64% of those who booked phones in advance went for the Galaxy S7 edge, the bigger version with dual-curved display.

Anyhow, we’d better wait a bit more for the official announcement from Samsung regarding the pre-order number. But, from now till March 11, 2016, which is Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge release date, we predict the firm will get a very high number and, reportedly, make a total of 17.2 million units of S7 and S7 edge units by April easily.

As we know, Huawei did not introduce their flagship P9 at MWC 2016 perhaps because the company was not ready enough; they want a big event for their star. And since the handset is still a secret, we still see many leaks spread on the internet. The latest reliable one is that Huawei P9 will sport a metal frame, a dual rear camera setup, a USB Type-C port and a fingerprint scanner placed on the back.

Furthermore, not long ago, some renders were spotted, showing a device featuring a 2.5D curved screen on the front. The borders seem very slim and the power button and volume controls are built in the P9’s right side. Moreover, we’re pretty sure that the phone will be available in gold, white, pink and gray. Those are some main points about Huawei P9 design. How about its specifications?

Accordingly, Huawei P9 specs will include a Kirin 950 chip, 4GB of RAM and a 5.2-inch display to be basic. Besides, there are also rumors saying that the P9 will come with other variants such as a cheaper Huawei P9 Lite and a phablet Huawei P9 Max. Though, they have not been confirmed by the manufacturer yet. We don’t know yet about this handy ZUK smartphone. However, our sources are saying that, there will be 2 versions for users to choose: a 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage and a 3GB RAM with 32GB of built-in memory. This is a great news for those who consider over 5.0 inch smartphones rather big and bulky, as well as those who are a fan of Lenovo and ZUK smartphone.

Specs wise, the new Lenovo smartphone will run on a Helio X10 chip set by MediaTek, with 8 cores clocks at 2 GHz. There said to be a fingerprint scanner and inherit the design from best-selling ZUK Z1 smartphone. With the official news from Apple about their upcoming iPhone 5se – also packing a 4.7 inch display, is this ZUK phone meant to be a direct rival to the 5se? We will see soon 🙂

Apart from what we have written above, there is not much to be said about the phone. However, unlike ZUK Z1, which only went through China and some other near-by market, this time, we are expecting an international version of the phone, which runs Cyanogen OS.
