CES 2016 is warming up and Lenovo has just welcomed the event by announcing to introduce a model called Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite at CES this year. So, what does it have?

After claiming the coming of many laptops, Lenovo decided to launch a new smartphone belonging to Lenovo Vibe S series at CES 2016. It is named Vibe S1 Lite and we are quite sure this handset is a variant of Lenovo Vibe S1 announced in September 2015. Because the original S1 is very special thanks to its dual front camera, we hope the Lite ver can also inherit such a fantastic feature and maybe more.

Spec-wise, Lenovo Vibe S1 Lite specs include a 5.0-inch Full HD screen, a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 octa-core chip, Mali-T720 GPU, a dual SIM, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM (expandable), and a 2,700mAh battery. In addition, there are 4G LTE connectivity, Android 5.1 Lollipop OS, and a main camera capable of 13 megapixels with a dual LED flash, PDAF, and BSI. In terms of taking selfies, we have to inform you that there would be no dual front camera as we see on the Vibe S1.

However, it’s still very powerful with 8MP, Sony sensor and LED flash. You’ll have great pics even in low light conditions. Well, we assume the Lite’s a lower-end smartphone of the S1 but still an excellent mid-ranger compared to many others. If its price tag is affordable, no doubt this will become a strong competitor to Xiaomi products in the same category.

Xiaomi Redmi 3: budget beast of 2016 with 4,000 mAH

Xiaomi is famous for their cheap but good quality smartphones launched to the market in the recent years. Seems like they are not planning to stop this reputation any time soon. For now, rumors are already talking about a brand new handset named Xiaomi Redmi 3, that costs an unbelievably cheap price: USD 92. This is equivalent to Xiaomi Redmi 3 price in Philippines at PHP 4,500 and Xiaomi Redmi 3 price in India at Rs 6,200. Excited already?

In terms of Xiaomi Redmi 3 specs, we have 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage, an octa-core processor with Snapdragon 617 chip set. Xiaomi also gives this budget flagship a beautiful pair of camera: 13MP on the back and 5MP on the front. Xiaomi Redmi 3 is also a 4G competent smartphone. What is significant about the device is that, Redmi 3 battery features a huge 4,000 mAH battery. With this capacity, you can go 3 days on normal use without charging.

With 23MP resolution and a premium IMX 300 sensor by Sony, Xperia Z5 was announced best smartphone camera among all. Today, we also got to meet with 2 other winners, ranking right after the Z5 beast. With 16MP and f/1.9 sensor, the Galaxy S6 Edge+ stole the second place. And another Samsung smartphone, the  famous Galaxy Note 5, comes in third also with its 16MP and  f/1.9 sensor. So to wrap it up, our top 3 are: Xperia Z5 by Sony, Galaxy S6 Edge+ and Galaxy Note 5, both by Samsung.

They used a complicated system to test and analyze the camera quality to make the result reliable and unbiased. According to them, the top 3 have pretty close result to each other, which means they are almost the same as good despite the difference in resolution.

4. Nokia C1: About $200

Nokia comeback is a hot topic in 2015 and of course 2016. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 vs Lenovo K3 Note vs Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime vs Coolpad Dazen Note 3

Some similarities between these 4 devices are that they’re produced by Chinese smartphone manufacturers and they’re all phablets whose screens measure 5.5 inches. If you have to pick out the slimmest machine here, it has to be Lenovo K3 Note. And it, together with Coolpad Note 3, is also the lightest one. In terms of specs, they also have something in common. Specifically, each phone owns a combo of 13MP/5MP camera and a dual SIM. Yet, apart from those points, four of them have quite many differences you need to know. Though the Coolpad Note 3 also packs 3GB RAM, it cannot defeat the Redmi Note 3 because of its less strong chipset and batt. Though, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is not equipped with a microSD card slot to help expand the internal storage, which seems a disadvantage of this handset while the others have. Chinese Note smartphones: Prices and availability

As we mention from the beginning, they are budget smartphones. But, to be specific, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 price is $140 for 16GB/2GB version and $172 for 32GB/3GB ver; Lenovo K3 Note price is around $160; Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime price is about $150; last but not least, Coolpad Note 3 price is $130, which makes it the most affordable here. We have 2 smartphones attracting much people’s attention recently: ASUS Z1 Titan VS HTC One M10. They’re very promising products for both companies’ success in 2016. But, what if they’re about to compete with each other?

ASUS Z1 Titan VS HTC One M10: Flagship vs Flagship

Firstly, let’s talk about display. HTC One M10 specs will include a 5.9-inch Super AMOLED screen with 4K resolution while ASUS Z1 Titan specs will pack a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED 2K one. Obviously, the Titan’s size is smaller and the display resolution is lower than those of One M10. But note that 2K is already so great for a phablet and with such a huge 4K screen, M10 is expected to show things in a very detailed and gorgeous way.

For other specs such as processor, Z1 Titan is likely to be powered by 6GB RAM, 256GB ROM, and a Snapdragon 830 chip. Meanwhile, M10 is run by 4GB RAM, 128GB ROM, and a 12-core chip (whose brand’s still unknown). At those points, we have to say that the Titan seems more advanced than its rival, but when it comes to battery life, we have to say the M10’s absolutely the winner thanks to its much more impressive 6,200mAh cell compared to the Titan’s 3,500mAh one.

As for the camera, the M10’s main one is capable of 20 megapixels and the front cam is 8 megapixels, which is a perfect combo for those who love taking photos. And once again, HTC One M10 is able to beat the ASUS phone since Z1 Titan just sports a 16MP rear snapper with a dual LED flash plus a 5MP selfie one.

Yes, we can say it is the third member and expected to be very excellent since the latest one – the Pegasus 2 Plus, was able to attract a lot of people’s attention with 2 bright color options: Rose Gold and White.

Looking at the picture, we think the handset looks cool in dark blue color with the logo placed lower and the rear camera plus the LED flash moved to one corner of the machine, totally different from the Plus. Beautiful, right?! As for specifications, the device sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display and a Snapdragon 615 chip, absolutely similar to the Plus. Nonetheless, other ASUS Pegasus X005 specs are not the same.

According to the source, there are 4G connectivity, a dual SIM, Android 5.1 Lollipop, 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM (expandable via microSD card slot), a 13MP main and a 5MP front-facing shooter. Though the battery was not mentioned, we guess it can reach up to 4,000mAh because the Pegasus X005’s thickness is reported to be 9 mm coming along with more weight.

The smartphone appeared on the internet but the price and ASUS Pegasus X005 release date were not claimed for now. Though, we predict it will cost less than $250, basing on its revealed features. Samsung Galaxy S7  can be one of the devices to get launched in the Q1 of 2016, or in February to be more specific. Spec-wise, basically it will own a Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 chip (yes, you can choose whichever version you like), a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED 2K screen, and a 20MP rear with BRITECELL sensor camera. We will know more clearly about Samsung Galaxy S7 specs when February is getting nearer.

This will be a premium smartphone and also the first member one the line-up Surface of Microsoft, besides Lumia. The name somehow hints that the design as well as the Microsoft Surface Phone specs will be inspired by the company’s tablet series Surface. Not long ago, Xiaomi Mi5 was spotted on the Antutu benchmark with 101,339 points. Maybe it is because of the super strong Xiaomi Mi5 specs probably including a Snapdragon 820 chipset, a 5.2-inch 2K display and Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS out of the box. Moreover, it is likely that Mi5 will sport Force Touch-like tech like what we see on iPhone 6S, which makes us feel Xiaomi Mi5 will be a very high-end smartphone and perhaps the company will have a good year in 2016.

9. OnePlus 2 Mini

This is called Mini but we think it is not “small” at all in terms of hardware. It is said that OnePlus 2 Mini specs will have a 4.6-inch Full HD display, a 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. The main camera will be capable of 12 megapixels and the front-facing one is 5 megapixels. For those who love a handy machine to use, you would love this tiny-but-mighty phone.

10. Sony Xperia Z6

In terms of Sony Xperia Z6 specs, it is said to sport a Snapdragon 820 chip, 4GB RAM, a Quad HD screen and a 23MP rear camera to be basic.
