Design-wise, Nokia Lumia 1620 concept smartphone was created by Karl Panase. According to the designer, Nokia Lumia 1620 will measure 8.3 mm in terms of thickness and weigh 140 grams. Those are such perfect numbers for a beauty. It is easy to notice that this is a big phablet with a super slim bezels and no physical home button on the front surface. The back cover seems to be made of metal with a simple camera and Nokia logo placed in the middle of the phone’s upper part.

Spec-wise, Nokia Lumia 1620 also incorporates high-end specs configuration. Specifically, the handset will be likely to sport a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with 2K (aka Quad HD) resolution. It will be powered by a 2.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805 chip, 3GB of RAM, 64GB ROM (expandable up to 64GB), and Windows 10 Mobile OS. Besides, a 3,300mAh battery plus wireless charging capability will be in charge of fueling the whole machine.

As for the camera, the main one is said to be capable of 20 megapixels with OIS, a dual LED flash and an ability of recording 4K videos, and the selfie shooter is also expected to be 8 megapixels. Some other Nokia Lumia 1620 specs include Dolby Digital Plus sound technology, a dual SIM and 4G LTE connectivity.

Lately, we have spotted a consumer survey for this topic. It was conducted by Ericsson owned ConsumerLab. Accordingly, smartphones will become obsolete in the next five years and totally can be replaced with artificial intelligence. Moreover, half of the study’s respondents told that mobile technology would be redundant by 2021 since the artificial intelligence would grow so strongly to enable people to interact with objects without a smartphone or tablet.

“A smartphone in the hand, it’s really not that practical. For example, not when one is driving a car or cooking. And there are many situations where display screens are not so good. Therefore, one in two think that smartphones will belong to the past within five years,” said Ericsson ConsumerLab’s Rebecka Cedering Angstrom.

But in fact, things can be different…

However, we also need to note that the research lab just surveyed 100,000 people in Sweden and 39 other countries. Meanwhile, we have around 1.9 billion smartphone users in the world, which makes 100,000 only 0.0052 per cent of the current active users. Huawei P9 – next high-end Chinese smartphone for 2016

After the success of Huawei P8 – one of the top flagships of 2015 – Huawei was rumored to be working on the next generation Huawei P9. And according to the famous Chinese website Mobile Dad, Huawei is hinting a launch of the P9 in Q1 2016, specifically March – making it almost a year after the Huawei P8 release. Accordingly, the company is preparing everything to launch a new flagship smartphone in 2016. It can be named ASUS ZenFone 3 as a successor to the famous ASUS ZenFone 2 introduced this year. Good news is that properly ASUS will equip their handset with a fingerprint scanner (FS) to make it more premium.
