As the Snapdragon 820 SoC chip has been already introduced, we’re quite sure it will be in charge of powering the Mi5, working together with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage as parts of Xiaomi Mi5 specs. Nokia McLaren was initially planned to be the successor of Lumia 1020, explaining why it is also named as Lumia 1030. Nokia McLaren specs are very appealing, featuring 6GB RAM, premium 3D Touch ID, 50MP Pureview and an at least 4000 mAH battery. It was so close to production when Microsoft was said to suddenly cancelled the smartphone, leaving it still a dream to a great number of users all over the worlds, especially those who are Nokia fan and tech geeks.

Visually, Nokia McLaren looks pretty much like its predecessor – Lumia 1020 with a big bold camera module placed proudly on the back and generally looking more classy with a metal body. If you have been updating with us, I bet you remember the Nokia McLaren hands-on pictures with very real machine out of the wild. However, very recently, we spotted more leaking images of the smartphone, with a close-up shot to the camera module, showing off Nokia’s signature “Pureview” brand on the back.

As you can see, the black machine here in the picture is Lumia 1030, and the white one is its predecessor Lumia 1020. They really look like siblings, except for Lumia 1030 having a slightly bigger screen and slightly better camera. With new images leaking, we are hoping that this is a sign Nokia is thinking of bringing this beast into real life on their comeback 2016. Let’s wait and see

Though this is not the first time we heard about smartphone ASUS ZenFone Max (because it was announced once in August), we still feel excited as this time, the Max’s ready to go on sale. Recently, a short promo video has been posted on the internet, which is kind of evidence for the global ASUS ZenFone Max launch in the near future. It seems a very good deal, especially for those who like long battery life due to its 5,000mAh cell.

According to the clip, the ZenFone Max can provide a talk time of up to 37.6 hours, video playback time of 22.6 hours, Wi-Fi web browsing for 32.5 hours, and a stand-by time of 38 days. So impressive, isn’t it? Furthermore, the handset can also be used as a power bank to charge other machines. Nonetheless, there is one drawback (but not so important, we guess) that the big batt may be the reason why Max (156 x 77.5 x 10.5 mm) is a bit thicker than most other ASUS phones.

Besides, ASUS ZenFone Max specs include a 5.5-inch HD screen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 2GB RAM, 16GB of ROM (expandable) and a combo of 5MP front plus 13MP rear camera equipped with laser autofocus and dual LED flash. In addition, Max runs on ZenUI based on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, but no word has been made for a possible Marshmallow upgrade yet.

According to latest news published on Weibo Antutu website, Sony is hinting the next generation of high-end smartphones for 2016. The new mobile series, allegedly named Xperia Z6 will come in 5.2 inch display for the original model, an Xperia Z6 Mini with 4 inch display, Xperia Z6 Compact with 4.6 inch display. Besides, seems like there will also be a phablet version – Xperia Z6 with 5.8 inch and even a 6.4 inch model – Xperia Z6 Ultra.

Together with the model names and screen sizes of the upcoming Sony Xperia Z6 family, Weibo also revealed that, 4 among these 5 smartphones will be running on premium Snapdragon 820 chip set, except for the Z6 Mini which would feature Snapdragon 620. For now, Sony has sent out invitations for press meeting at CES 2016 conference next month. Although it is still too early for Sony to say any further about the Z5 successors, but let’s wait and see if the Japanese company is going to bring us any surprise.
