There has been a tablet spotted on the internet called Mecury. The device would not be able to draw that much attention from people if it did not look like a Lumia tablet – Nokia 2520, a tablet produced by Nokia 2 years ago.
Mecury: A perfect combination of a Lumia and a Surface
However, please note that this is a Microsoft tablet as we can see their logo on the back of the machine clearly. Though Surface series is still a flagship tablet of Microsoft (the latest ones are Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book), according to a Twitter account @evleaks, the company used to want to release another line-up whose members would come with smaller size and cost less than a Surface. And the one we are mentioning is Mecury.
Interestingly, some people have a feeling that the Mecury is a combination of a Lumia smartphone and a Surface Pro because of its design and color, and the size is somewhere in the middle. In other words, it is an enlarged version of the Lumia phone and shrunken one of the Surface Pro. Anyhow, no matter what it is similar to, we have to admit the Mecury is beautiful, especially its blue Cyan color in the pics. Do you agree?
Thanks to the leak, we have a chance to see how pretty the Mecury is but no official word has been made for its specifications. One thing we notice is that the rear is likely to be made of Polycarbonate. Besides, there are slots for SIM and microSD card, a 7 to 8-inch screen, a dual front-facing speaker at the bottom of the tablet, and a front camera.
Mecury price and available
We don’t know why Microsoft did not announce Mecury but there is a hope that maybe Nokia will introduce something like this next year. As for Mecury price, if more affordable than a Surface, we guess it could cost around $250. What do you think? Share with us your opinions!
Samsung has been receiving flows of compliments and positive feed backs with their new chip set Exynos 8890 produced for Galaxy S7. Recently, the chip appeared on Chinese Antutu Benchmark with impressive result…
Exynos 8890: scoring 103,692 Antutu Benchmark: real beast
Exynos 8890 – Samsung’s new chip set – has been talked about quite frequently and received pretty good critics so far. To prove it capability, Exynos 8890 just made it through Antutu Benchmark test, with a whooping 103,693 points, leading ahead Kirin 950 by Huawei (with 79K points), which powers the upcoming Huawei Mate 8 flagship. Seems like we are going to have an intense competition between the Galaxy S7 and Huawei Mate 8 next year.
Samsung has taken it very seriously when they mass produced Exynos 8890 chip set for the high-end Galaxy S7. The chip is expected to bring a number of premium features for the device next year. Manufactured by 14 nm FinFET process, the latest S amsung Exynos chip has potential to be energy efficient. Samsung Galaxy S7: beast specs for an equivalent of price
We can totally expect a Samsung Galaxy S7 release in first half of 2016. Although Samsung has said no word about the Galaxy S7 price, for what it is going to offer, we are predicting a price tag at least USD 500 or above. Still, there are some cool features we hope to see in this beast to make it even more complete, like water proof and a slim design.
If last year Samsung introduced a 64GB 3D TSV(through silicon via) DDR4 (double data rate-4) DRAM, now the company claim that they are ready to turn the first ever 128GB RAM DDR4 into mass production. Yes you read right, 128GB RAM not ROM…
Samsung 128GB DDR4 RAM: “The largest capacity with the highest energy efficiency”
Recently, Mr. Joo Sun Choi, Samsung’s executive vice president for Memory Sales and Marketing, has announced “we Are Pleased That Volume Production Of Our High Speed, Low-Power 128GB TSV DRAM Module Will Enable Our Global IT Customers And Partners To Launch A New Generation Of Enterprise Solutions.” Accordingly, there are 144 DDR4 chips to make up the new 128GB TSV modules and the chips are further structured into 36 packages with 4GB DRAM each, containing four 20nm based 8GB chips.
In terms of design, we are informed that the look of this new Samsung RAM module will allow better signal transmission as compared to other conventional ones. Besides, 4GB master chips embedded for data buffer function will also be on board. As a result, it will save more power but be able to provide a speed of up to 2,400 Mbps. It is really a product created for the enterprise with “the largest capacity and the highest energy efficiency of any DRAM modules today.” The Korean giant manufacturer also confirms that the “e-modules with data transfer speeds of up to 2,667Mbps and 3,200Mbps that help to meet intensifying enterprise server needs, while expanding TSV applications into high bandwidth memory (HBM) and consumer products.” Let’s wait and see!
Samsung 128GB DDR4 RAM Price and Availability
To be honest, we think Samsung really knows how to impress people. Samsung has started mass-producing their new Samsung 128GB DDR4 RAM chips, no official word has been made about the Samsung 128GB DDR4 RAM price yet. Some say it will be likely to cost more than a little PC but let’s wait for the company’s final announcement. So what do you think about Samsung 128GB RAM devices? (igyaan)

Lenovo-owned ZUK company launched their ZUK Z1 smartphone earlier this year and it turned out to be a good step for them to enter the mobile market. As a result, releasing a successor to the Z1 – Lenovo ZUK 2 – is what we know they will do.
Lenovo ZUK Z2: Another successful device is on the way?
Recently, the company’s CEO has confirmed that they would be launching ZUK Z2 next year. Though, the Lenovo ZUK Z2 release date has not been claimed yet. Of course, you would be curious about how it may look. So, Lenovo ZUK Z2 design may be similar to its predecessor but there is a thing that ZUK Z1 cannot do which is allowing you to rotating the phone’s top side. WOW, that’s so “weird” but in an interesting way, right?!
Unfortunately, the company has not officially announced the Lenovo ZUK Z2 specs yet. Maybe they want to give us a surprising present at the beginning of 2016. New year – new phone – new feature. What could be better than that? Anyhow, we can predict it can own some top specs like 64GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128GB), a metal frame with 2.5D glass for its front and back, a Snapdragon 820 chip, a 3,000mAh or bigger battery and a 5.5-inch Full HD or 2K screen.
Well, the above pictures have helped describe the mechanism of the Z2 more accurately. Specifically, this ZUK’s second smartphone will sport a unique fully-rotating top, which means, yes, the handset will only have one camera to do everything you want. Despite not knowing its resolution, we’re quite sure your selfies will be absolutely beautiful.
Lenovo ZUK Z2 price and availability
It is not hard to figure out that the device is going to be available in China first and the ZUK Z2 launch date is some day in early 2016. As for the price, we guess it will be ranging from $300 to $400 since Lenovo Zuk Z1 price is 1799 Yuan ($285) with lower-end hardware. Then, what do you think about ZUK Z2?
To make their upcoming iPhone 7 as slim as possible, Apple is about the “kill” the 3.5mm headphone jacks, said new rumors. However, this doesn’t mean iPhone 7 will not be capable of connecting to headphones…
iPhone 7 smartphone: waterproof and no earphone jack
According to our source, Apple is experimenting a unique patent called “Eletronic Devices with Housing Port Shutters”, which can steal off all ports on the body to protect the device from any kind of liquid and moisture. This both explains the previous rumor about iPhone 7 smartphone will be waterproof and why the handset is being expected with no ear-phone jack, which can be found on most (if not all) mobile phones in the market nowadays. Would it be a nice move when iPhone 7 make such a change?
Apple engineers say that, once removing the earphone jack, they can make iPhone 7 body 1mm thinner than iPhone 6S of today. In order to make up for the “sacrifice” of common 3.5mm earphone jack, the company is expected to introduce new EarPods that plug into the Lightning port instead. At the same time, this movement encourages the use of Bluetooth earphone as a new technology trend. Besides, we have heard that, some other iPhone 7 specs will be improved also: probably a 3GB RAM, a more enhanced camera and a bigger iPhone battery!
For pretty much a long time now, we have been very used to the appearance of the popular 3.5 mm earphone jack. For a long time we have been used to the appearance of the earphone jack. But if rumors we are hearing now turn out to be true, it seems like we would say goodbye to our old friend soon
iPhone 7 release date: expecting in early 2016
Apple iPhone 6S and 6S Plus have been launched for just several months until now. This means, we can totally expect an iPhone 7 release in later 2016, not at the beginning of the year. For now, what do you think about the idea of smartphone with no earphone jack?
At the very last day of November, we welcomed two latest smartphones from Vivo: Vivo X6 launch and Vivo X6 Plus launch. Check out what they’ve got as well as their prices! Maybe you will find it a perfect new one to replace your old phone.
Vivo X6 and Vixo X6 Plus: Powerful 4GB RAM flagship duo
Both of them are new members of Vivo X series and it is not strange at all to see them come with metal unibody builds and 2.5D Gorilla Glass. You will also find fingerprint scanners on their back surfaces. According to the company, you just need 0.2 second to unlock the handsets and interestingly the sensors support 360-degree unlocking to bring you more convenience than before. In general, they look very beautiful and elegant!
As for specifications, many of them are a bit different from what were previously leaked. Firstly, we would like to talk about Vivo X6 specs. They include a MT6752 processor, a 5.2-inch FHD Super AMOLED display, 2,400mAh battery, 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, and 32GB ROM. In terms of camera, there are a 13MP rear one equipped with PDAF and dual tone LED flash, and an 8MP front shooter with wide-angle lens. Specially, the camera app can open in just 0.6 seconds with object focus in only 0.1 seconds. Sound good?
About Vivo X6 Plus specs, it sports a larger 5.7-inch FHD display, 64GB ROM and two choices over the battery: 3,000mAh and 4,000mAh. For the rest of of the package, there is not difference to make. In other words, Vivo X6 is truly a smartphone while Vivo X6 Plus is phablet for those who like using a big device.
Vivo X6 an Vivo X6 Plus price and availability:
Note that the company gives you 3 color options: Gold, Rose Gold, or Silver. It is said that Vivo X6 and X6 Plus will be going on sale in China on December 7, 2015 and perhaps we will see them on international shelves in the next weeks. At the launch event, it is mentioned that Vivo X6 and X6 Plus prices start from 2,498 Yuan and 2,998 Yuan, equivalent to around $390 and $470. So what do you think about the new Vivo X6?
Huawei Mate 8 is considered as a beast smartphone now. But, let’s see if it can defeat the beast from one of the Korean giant manufacturers – Galaxy Note 5. We’ll compare them in terms of some key points such as display, processor,…
Huawei Mate 8 vs Galaxy Note 5: Which one is the true beast here?
Everyone knows Huawei Mate 8 is the newer flagship which comes with a metal body and a 6-inch IPS-NEO LCD screen, absolutely bigger than the Galaxy Note 5’s 5.7 Super AMOLED screen. However, the Mate 8 only features Full HD display resolution with 368 ppi, not as advanced as the 2K one of the Note 5 with 518 ppi. Moreover, there is an S Pen stylus coming along with the Samsung phone, helping you write things just like on a real notebook.
As for the processor, we have to say Huawei Mate 8’s super fast thanks to its new HiSilicon Kirin 950 octa-core processor consisting of 4 cores clocked at 2.3GHz and another set of 4 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. Besides, Huawei Mate 8 specs include 3/4GB RAM plus 32/64/128GB ROM expandable up to 128GB. Meanwhile, the Note 5 is also powered by a very powerful Exynos 7420 octa-core 2.1GHz chip and 4GB RAM. Nonetheless, the 5 cannot give you extra space for its 32/64GB ROM. Would you mind that?
Last but not least, the Mate 8’s front camera has a higher resolution of 8 megapixels, making it the winner at this point since the Note 5’s one is only capable of 5 megapixels. On the other hand, Huawei would be proud of their machine’s 4,000mAh battery and convincing you it will last a lot longer than the 5’s 3,000mAh batt.
Huawei Mate 8 vs Galaxy Note 5: Price battle and the winner is…
Huawei Mate 8 price ranges from $470 to $690 for 3 variants while you have to pay at least $555 for a Note 5 32GB and of course Samsung Galaxy Note 5 price will be higher for the 64GB ver. So, in general, both of them are strong and beautiful, but in the end, it is likely that Huawei Mate 8 can beat the Note 5. Do you agree?
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, with 5 reasons we mentioned before, is definitely one of the best smartphones for its price group – USD 200 and below. However, if you try to look carefully, there are a few beasts that can actually be a good alternative…
But first, let me wrap up about Xiaomi Redmi Note 3specs here to make it easier for you to compare and contrast. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 comes with: 5.5” display, 2/3GB RAM with 16/32GB ROM respectively, strong Helio X10 chip set, a big 4,000 mAH battery and beautiful 13MP/5MP selfie cameras. Here are 4 competitive rivals to the Redmi Note 3:
1. Elephone M2: $170
Elephone is not a strange name for us anymore. Costing around $170, the Elephone M2 is a pretty qualified smartphone with the exact same screen size and camera sensors with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. The handset also come in 3GB RAM, which is strong enough for most users. However, the Elephone M2 runs on MediaTek MT6753 chip set instead of Helio X10 and its battery is quite smaller than that Note 3 battery: 2,600 mAH vs 4,000 mAH.
2. XOLO BLACK 1X: $150
The next device we want to introduce to you is not very familiar to many of us: XOLO Black 1X. This Chinese smartphone also share many features in common with the Note 3: screen size, 3GB RAM, camera sensors. Like the Elephone M2, this XOLO Black X1 differs in terms of chip set (a MediaTek MTK 6753) and a smaller battery: 2,400 mAH vs 4,000 mAH. The handset costs a humble price tag of $150.
3. iBerry Auxus Prime P8000: USD 200
So far, this iBerry smartphone is the one that share most specs in common with Redmi Note 3. The iBerry Auxus Prime P8000 full specs include: 5.5 inch display, 3GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 13MP/5MP cameras and 4160 mAH battery! However, this iBerry P8000 smartphone is slightly more expensive than our beast: costing USD 200 in comparison with USD 170 price tag.
4. Coolpad Dazen Note 3: USD 150
With $20 cheaper than the Redmi Note 3, this Coolpad Dazen Note 3 offer very similar specs and a pretty nice design. The Coolpad Note 3 is a dual SIM smartphone which is also capable of 4G LTE to some networks in India. Some Note 3 specs from Coolpad include: a 5.5-inch display, 3GB RAM, a MediaTek 6753 processor, 16GB internal storage that can be expandable up to 64GB with an extra micro SD card.
In conclusion, I am not here to deny that Redmi Note 3 by Xiaomi is a cool beast. However, if you want to try other options with the same price group, or simply looking for ideas about what such money can buy, these 4 are pretty good choices for you.
Let’s check out one of the latest updated ASUS ZenFone phone – ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser, coming with 3 GB of RAM, a laser camera, a 5.5-inch Full HD screen, and… By the way, it is very affordable!
ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser specs: All you need to know
ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser launch actually has occurred some months ago but recently, the company has kind of “renewed” it by adding one more version coded as ZE550KL. Moreover, it is equipped with some higher-end features such as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chip and 3GB of RAM. They are surely much better than the Qualcomm SD 410 processor and 2 GB of RAM of the previous Laser ZE550KG.
Specially, we cannot forget its 13 MP rear camera, which focuses 3 times faster than traditional focusing methods and performs absolutely well even in low-light conditions. In other words, with ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser, you will easily get sharper photos. Besides, the handset’s 5 MP wide-angle front-facing shooter is also pretty good for you to take selfies and video chat with clarity.
Some other ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser specs include a 5.5-inch Full HD (~401 ppi) display, a dual SIM, 16/32GB of internal storage (which can be expanded up to 128 GB), a 3,000 mAh battery which is removable, so that you can replace it anytime for extra juice. In addition, the device comes with ASUS ZenUI 2.0 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system.
ASUS ZenFone 2 Laser price and availability: Super affordable
If you like this Laser 3 GB RAM variant, you can wait a bit more to get it with less than $250. At the moment, it has already been available on ASUS online store in the U.S. at $249. For our market, hopefully it will be listed on the ASUS Malaysia website soon. Well, what do you think about this smartphone? Share with us your opinions and feelings!

Huawei Mate 8 design and specs are just so fantastic!
This is a beautiful beast! In general, Huawei Mate 8 design is kind of similar to Huawei Mate 7 and Huawei Mate S but of course it has its own way to attract people. The Mate 8’s body is made of aluminum and 2.5D curved glass and it has slim bezels as well as dimensions (157.1 x 80.6 x 7.9 mm). On the back, there are a a large circular camera unit at the top-center and a fingerprint scanner right below it.

Because the Mate 8 features a 6-inch Full HD display, 3/4GB RAM, 32/64/128GB of internal memory (expandable), a dual SIM, and a Huawei Kirin 950 octa-core chipset. Besides, the whole machine is run by Android 6.0 Marshmallow and an up to 4,000mAh battery. As for the 8’s ability of taking photos, you will be absolutely satisfied by its 16MP rear and an 8MP front snapper.
Well, see those are the reasons why we have given the Mate 8 so many compliments. But, you have to see it to believe it for sure. Therefore, we have collected many Huawei Mate 8 hands-on detailed photos of this 6-inch phablet which was launched in China not long ago.
Huawei Mate 8 price and availability
Here we would like to make a recap about Huawei Mate 8 price. There will be three versions with different price tags: 3GB RAM/32GB ROM – 2,999 Yuan ($470), 4GB RAM/64GB ROM – 3,699 Yuan ($580), and 3GB RAM/128GB ROM – 4,399 Yuan ($690).
