Android users vote: iPhone 6S camera is the best!
If you are a smartphone fan, you would know by now that Sony Xperia Z5 camera with 23MP resolution has been entitled best smartphone camera after a technical test. However, users seem to have a different opinion considering real images

Blind camera shootout – the winner is…
Recently, Android Authority has conducted a blind camera poll. In this, they asked the readers to look at the photos taken by 4 different camera-centric phones : iPhone 6S, Samsung Galaxy Note 5, LG G4 and Sony Xperia Z5 and vote. Surprisingly as it may sound, most readers on the site picked… iPhone 6S camera as the best camera phone among the four.
In the article on Android Authority, they even published the detailed result. According to that, 38% readers who joined the vote picked iPhone 6S as the best camera. Following is Samsung Galaxy Note 5 with 34% of the vote. Don’t get shocked reading on, but seems like your favorite Sony Xperia Z5 camera only got 18% of the vote. Last on the list is LG G4 with only 10%.
iPhone 6S camera – best in all cases?
Please keep in mind that, this does not mean all pictures taken by iPhone 6S camera is better than those captured by others. For example, after considering different galleries taken under different lighting condition, Android Authority found out that “the iPhone 6S completely misjudges the white balance,” in one nighttime photo of an Adidas shop with a B&W sign.
iPhone 6S camera – worth your money
iPhone 6S has been such a controversial device. Many Android users mock the device for low specs compared to the heavy price. Meanwhile, iPhone fans argue that figures and numbers don’t always say everything. And despite the high price tag, the dual iPhone 6S and 6S Plus sell extraordinarily well on first weekends and still counting! With this camera blind test result, I hope we can now find one more reason to be convinced into buying this beast (if you have the money, of course)
I find this blind camera shootout pretty interesting. For further details and various real life images, please refer to the article on Android Authority here.
Huawei Nexus 6P: a flagship ruined miserably with breaking glass
Huawei Nexus 6P is a high-end mobile device made with the cooperation between Google and Huawei. The Nexus 6P price is absolutely not cheap at all, varying between USD 500 to USD 640 in different market. (Details here). Expensive as it is, shortly after arrival, the Nexus 6P started to have serious problems…
Huawei Nexus 6P: unexpected major problem
One user has recently shared on Reddit that, the rear class panel on his/her Nexus 6P just “spontaneously” cracked. Following the complaint, several others started to shared their pictures showing the same problem with their shattered class on the rear camera. The problem is said to happen very “randomly” without any specific accident, to more than just one unlucky user.
“It was sat on a table next to me when I heard the glass snap, leaving a little snowfall of shavings on the table under it,” user Jonny_Rat wrote on Reddit last weekend, with an attached image as proof. To make the matter worse, “It’s now continuing to crack away to itself.”, he added.
I would have doubted that Jonny dropped his phone and made up the whole story in order to blame the producer. But many other users have jumped in the conversation, adding their own proof of the very same problem. Some even clarified it happened to them “less than 24 hours after buying the device”
Huawei Nexus 6P – glass breaking problem and the answer?
I am sure with the power of internet these days, both Huawei and Google will get to know about the issue happening to their Nexus 6P flagship soon. And they’d better provide us with a decent explanation plus practical solution. Anyhow, this breaking glass problem is surely an incident both companies dread people talking about.
Nexus 6P: all ruined up by Huawei?
When buying a high-end smartphone, we always hope to have a worthy device that does not only perform well, with favorable features, but also last for a decent period of time. It seems like Google made a wrong choice when choosing a Chinese manufacturer – Huawei to produce their premium Nexus 6P device, isn’t it?
Anyhow, we will all come to a conclusion that stuff “made in China” is not of that high quality? What do you have to explain, now, Google?
Sony Xperia Z5 Plus: 23MP and Snapdragon 820 for 2016
Sony Xperia Z5 family is the lastest high-end flagship smartphones by the Japanese company. The devices, enlisted Sony Xperia Z5, Z5 Compact and Z5 Premium comes with super high-class features like 23MP camera, 4K display etc. By now, Sony is even planning a new version for 2016, with the upcoming Snapdragon 820 chip set: Sony Xperia Z5 Plus. We all know that Qualcomm’s premium chip for high end smartphone, Snapdragon 820 will be out next year 2016. This Sony Xperia Z5 Plus is targeted to be one of the first mobile devices to try on that chip set. Sony Xperia Z5 Plus specs we know for now include: 5.3 inch FHD IPS Display, 4GB RAM, 23MP camera with the famous IMX 300 sensor that Samsung is trying to buy. To power the handset we have 3100 mAH battery and of course, Snapdragon 820 processor.
Sony Xperia Z5 Plus design
Sony Xperia Z5 Plus is actually a concept designed by Babak Soren. He is the same designer for Sony Xperia S5 concept that we all love. Sony Xperia Z5 Plus design comes with different color options to best fit a wider range of customers.
The idea of the Xperia Z5 Plus is definitely wise: it carries all of the best features proven to be loved from the predecessor Xperia Z5, plus one of the most expected chip sets to launch 2016. These things, all together, make Xperia Z5 Plus a desirable device that will surely be a Bomb in the market next year, if launched and priced properly.

Sony Xperia Z5 Plus release and pricing
Sony Xperia Z5 Plus is for now, still an inspiring concept smartphone. However, since it is very close to reality and has good connection with the already-launched Sony Xperia Z5 family, chances for it to be produced is very high.
Featuring Snapdragon 820, we hope Sony will set the Xperia Z5 Plus release in early 2016 to lead the trend. Sony Xperia Z5 Plus price should vary between Xperia Z5 price and Xperia Z5 Premium price.

In terms of storage, the HTC One X9 will sport 4GB RAM and 64/128GB internal memory. Also, as a way to provide more options, the handset may come with another 3GB RAM/ 32GB ROM variant to have a better price. 5 reasons why you should buy Lenovo Vibe P1
Two months after appearing at the IFA 2015, Lenovo Vibe P1 has been known more but some people are still not sure whether they should buy it instead of others. So, if you are interested in this handset but hesitant to take it home, here are 5 reasons why Lenovo Vibe P1 can be your best friend in future!

1. Beautiful and sturdy design
As time flies and technology is developing strongly, people do not have to worry much about the power of their phone. Instead, they care more about the look, so mobile manufacturers have to create more beautiful handsets to catch consumers’ eyes. And Lenovo is not an exception. With Vibe P1, they have shown the world that they can make pretty phones. Specifically, it comes with an aluminum unibody and a curved back which brings a premium feeling. Moreover, you will also feel sturdy when holding it in your hands due to the battery sporting a huge capacity.
2. Fingerprint scanner for a mid-ranger
This is not new at all but the feature is still limited. Most mid-range smartphones do not own a fingerprint scanner, so we guess Lenovo Vibe P1 is of of a few. Further more, the speed of recognizing a fingerprint is fast, less than 1 second, and you do not have to press the home button to unlock the machine because the sensor will always be working. Though, remember that you should not use it with a wet finger.
3. HUGE battery
P1 is not only a fashionable device but also a strong one thanks to its big battery of 5,000 mAh. You can totally use it in 2 days with heavy use, just like what the company announced. Besides, P1 boasts fast-charging tech, so that you will not have to wait long until the phone is full of energy again.
4. Highly evaluated Lenovo Vibe P1 specs
Apar from the batt, other Lenovo Vibe P1 specs are confident in giving you good using experience in playing games as it features a Snapdragon 615 chip, 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM (expandable), and a 5.5-inch Full HD display. In addition, there are 2 nano SIM slots supporting 4G network. In general, it has everything you need for a smart smartphone.
5. Interesting software
Running on Android Lollipop (5.1.1) OS out of the box, P1 sports a lot of interesting features as well functions such as Guest Mode, managing connectivity right on the notification bar, etc. Its user interface is beautiful and can be changed into different themes. One thing that should mentioned immediately is its exclusive set of Doit apps usually seen on many Lenovo products, helping you to duplicate your previous phone’s data and share files more easily without network. Cool!
CONCLUSION
Those are the main 5 reasons why Lenovo Vibe P1 will not let you down. Overall, it meets our demands in terms of design and specs. So, if you decide to purchase one, don’t forget to share with us your experience. For those who don’t think the points are convincing enough, please tell us your opinions!
Samsung Galaxy S7: 7 rumored features you can’t resist!
Samsung Galaxy S7 is Samsung’s upcoming flagship planned for 2016, hopefully in January. From the name, we can easily guess it is the successor of the high-end Galaxy S6. The device, yet to launch, has been leaked by some rumors and started to receive positive attention.
Have you been catching up with all rumors about this potential BOMB exploded in 2016? No worries, here I have for you the wrap up of everything.
Samsung Galaxy S7: 7 rumors features you can’t resist
1. Thinner body with Magnesium
One of the best things users like about Samsung Galaxy S6 is its premium design. And seems like Samsung will keep that feature going on for the next generation. The Galaxy S7, if nothing changes, will feature a magnesium alloy frame, covered by glass to have better protection and give better sense of overall design.
2. Larger display?
Well, if you have been following updates about the beast, you may realize the Galaxy S7 display is the most mysterious feature we have so far. However, knowing Samsung, rumors have it said that, the S7 may be coming with 2 options: either a 5.2” flat display or a 5.7” curved one. Does this remind you of anything? Yes, it is very possible that we will have another Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge variant!

3. Most powerful chip set ever
Yes, here comes the super star! We have heard and talked a lot about the Samsung Galaxy S7 chip set. On one hand, Samsung is working to launch the Exynos 8890, expected to be the most powerful ever found. On the other hand, sources are suggesting another variant with Snapdragon 820 – also a beast processor for most premium devices in 2016.
For detailed information about the chip sets Samsung Galaxy S7 will feature, please refer to our previous article here!
4. The new best camera sensor
It is nowhere to be confirmed, but we have heard that, Samsung was impressed by Sony IMX 300 camera sensor, and talking with the Japanese Giant to buy for their new beast. The title of best smartphone camera in the entire market today belongs to Sony Xperia Z5 family with 23MP sensor and 0.03s auto focus.
If Samsung succeeds in dealing with Sony, who knows, the new crown would possibly becomes Galaxy S7. Either, one thing I can say for sure is the, the new S7 camera will be better in resolution than 16MP of the current S6.

5. Enhanced audio chip
Samsung is known for their dedication to quality when it comes to media functions, including the smartphone audio quality. For the time being, they have been using Wolfson audio DACs for their Samsung Galaxy smartphones quite often. But rumors are hinting that, this time, the Galaxy S7 will have an ESS audio chip. We don’t know which is the difference yet, But having a bit mystery is good to keep people curious and concerned about the device. Let’s see if it can provide us a new experience with music play !
6. Innovative screen technology
To make an easy comparison: Samsung Galaxy S7 will have a pressure-sensitive touchscreen, which is similar to Apple’s 3D Force Touch used in iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Why did we know that? Because Synaptics, the producers of touch screens, has just enlisted Samsung as one of their main partner for the upcoming ClearForce technology. Interesting!
7. USB Type C Port
I don’t think we need more explanation for this feature. USB Type C, with many of its advantages (faster transfer, higher power throughput, and most of all, the ability to connect on either side) is expected to be the next trending feature for smartphones launch in 2016. Of course, Samsung doesn’t want their high-end Galaxy S7 to stay off the track!
Samsung Galaxy S7: expectation is high
Yes! Like super high! Samsung has been successful with their business in 2015 with many of new flagships like the Galaxy S6 – Galaxy S6 Edge and premium Galaxy Note 5. With rumors already flowing over the internet, Galaxy S7 is one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2016. Just a couple of months later, and we will see the official Samsung Galxy S7 specs and features! And you can start saving by now (blink!)
Samsung Galaxy J7 review: LED flashes for both cams
Samsung Galaxy J7 is considered as a smartphone owning some impressive features. Now, let’s review what it’s got for the design, specs and price to know why J7 is so attractive!

Samsung Galaxy J7 Design
Samsung Galaxy J7 belongs to the mid-range phone category. Though it looks pretty simple, J7 is still able to impress people with its Samsung traditional design, containing a physical Home button on the front surface but it does not take up too much space. We can hold the phone easily and comfortably. There are 4 rounded corners, a big screen on the front (with a size of a phablet) together with a secondary camera, a speaker and LED flash. However, the back of J7 looks not really as cool as we expected since the design of the main snapper is not attractive.
Well, if we had to grade the Samsung Galaxy J7 design, we would go with 7/10. Do you agree?
Samsung Galaxy J7 Specs
As for the specifications, there is a 5.5-inch HD display that can bring users high quality when they play games or watch movies. The whole machine is powered by a Snarpdragon 615 64-bit octa-core chip paired with high-end Adreno 405 GPU, 1.5GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Although the package of Samsung Galaxy J7’s features is not the best once compared with others in its kind, J7 is able to deliver pretty good productivity, smoothness and speed.
For a mid-ranger like J7, it is not very surprising when it has a combo of a 13MP rear and 5MP selfie camera, but the fact that it is equipped with LED flash for both shooters makes us excited. Then, we can take beautiful pictures even in low-light conditions.
Summary of Samsung Galaxy J7 specs:
OS: Android 5.1
Chip: Snapdragon 615
RAM: 1.5GB
Display: Super AMOLED 5.5″ HD
ROM: 16GB (expandable)
Camera: 13MP, AF, LED Flash, f/1.9 + 5 MP, LED Flash
Thickness: 7.5mm
Weight: 170g
Battery: 3,000mAh
Samsung Galaxy J7 Price in PH
It is priced at about PHP13,000, which seems an OK amount of money for those who want to buy a Samsung smartphone. Yet, we have to say that with PHP13,000 or perhaps less than PHP13,000, we can buy another one which is stronger in terms of specs. Nonetheless, a truth which cannot be denied is that Samsung products are usually said to work well. Therefore, you do not have to worry about its quality.
CONCLUSION

We have been through the review of Samsung Galaxy J7 design, specs and price. In general, they are a good combination. J7 still has its own advantage such as the front-facing cam coming along with a LED flash. So, if you are looking for a new smartphone for around PHP13,000, you can totally take J7 into consideration.

It is quite obvious that Nokia Lumia Play specs are not as preferable as those of Acer Predator 6. However, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the Nokia Lumia Play will sell less well than its counterpart. The brand names, no matter what the reasons are, do contribute considerably to customers’ decision. Acer is no doubt a familiar smartphone producers in our market. However, aside from this outstanding Predator 6, Acer barely has any other beasts that are remembered. On the other hand, Nokia has always been the smartphone Giants with numerous signature mobile devices. With their Nokia comeback 2016, Nokia will surely receive a lot more attention. Meanwhile, PuzzlePhone coming from a Finnish company is on the way and absolutely will be a direct competitor to the Ara.
As we know, a modular phone is made up with multiple pieces that can be upgraded, swapped or replaced when necessary. So is the PuzzlePhone. It has three pieces known as Brain, Spine, and Heart.
