Remember when we first got to know about Lenovo Vibe P1 was in February, when the company leaked to launch 4 new Lenovo smartphones. Back then, we knew nothing more than a render picture of the Lenovo Vibe P1. Today, almost 6 months later, the internet spotted Vibe P1 smartphone being listed on a Chinese online retailer: Pandawill.com. Lenovo Vibe P1 price in China as published on the website is equivalent to PHP 14,469. This means we now have one more smartphone to list in the sub PHP 15K category.
So what is the first thing we would mention about the Vibe P1? Easy, the device packs huge 5,000 mAH battery inside the slim metal body. As you may already notice, Lenovo is known for producing smartphone flagships with impressive batteries. For instances, we have seen (and love) Lenovo K80 with 4,000 mAH and Lenovo ZUK Z1 with 4,100 mAH not long before.
L enovo Vibe P1 specs
In terms of Lenovo Vibe P1 specs, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch display with 1080 x 1920 resolution. Housed inside the device is a Snapdragon 615 chipset and octa-core 1.5GHz CPU processor to power. Lenovo Vibe P1 also has 3GB of RAM and 16GB expandable storage. Last but not least, although not really outstanding, Lenovo Vibe P1 cameras pack 13MP and 5MP for rear and selfie shooters respectively – which is cool enough for most users.
Other than 5,000 mAH battery mentioned above, the Lenovo Vibe P1 goes with fast charge support to bring make it the most convenient for future users. It is said that Android 5.1 is pre-installed. However, since we already see Android 6.0 Marshmallow on the market, we strongly hope that Lenovo will soon get update to the newest OS for their newest device. Last but not least, the Lenovo Vibe P1 supports 4G LTE connectivity and offers Dual SIM with Dual Standby
Conclusion note
With impressive 5,000 mAH battery capacity and a combination of other good specs, Lenovo Vibe P1 price in PH is still in the sub PHP 15K category. We hope, compared to what it has to offer, the Vibe P1 price will please many users in our local market.

We all know that Sony and many other smartphone manufacturers have launched their waterproof smartphonesthat can stay in the water for a long time. Apart from those, many users tend to try to avoid getting their phone wet under any circumstance.
But have you ever wondered how your device – without being labled “waterproof”- will react when put in water? Will it survive at all? What are the damages that can be encountered?
If yes, YouTuber Adrianisen also shares the same concern with you. In order to test the capabilities of his Samsung Galaxy S6, Andriianisen submerged the device in Coca Cola for two minutes. Watch the review video and see what happened after 2 minutes. You can make your guess and compare with the result later 😉
Note: Previously before the Coca Cola test, Adrianisen had already tested the Galaxy S6in water – it turned out to lost the home button functionality – yet the display still worked normally. Now let’s watch the video!
Microsoft, the owner of Windows series and many kinds of computer devices, has began their restructuring process in 2015. It seems in this busy market, when things do not go well, jobs get cut. However, this time, Microsoft fires a big number of Nokia employees. Therefore, what really happens? Do the Nokia employees not do well at their assigned jobs? Alternatively, is it Microsoft’s fault?
Microsoft begins their restructuring plan by cutting off 2300 jobs
Microsoft has been having difficulties with mobile sales ever since they released the Lumia series. Though many people raise the simplicity of Windows phones, other factors prevent them to make big hit in the market.
After acquiring Nokia back from 2014, Microsoft also acquired around 32000 Nokia employees. This big number means that if Microsoft is to cut more jobs, those employees will be the first. Recently, Microsoft has planned to close NOKIA Oyj, the department in Finland. This starts their restructuring plan of cutting 7800 jobs, mostly from Nokia mobiles.
However, as Nokia is returning to the market next year, it seems there is not much to worry. Nokia has been a big name and reliable brand. Therefore, if a Nokia flagship marks its return, there are no doubt Nokia employees will eventually get their jobs back.
On a side note, Microsoft has just released another feature phone called Nokia 222. This phone display is a 2.4’’ screen. It has a 2MP camera and a dual sim version. Nokia 222 runs on the Series 30+ OS. Nokia 222 price in Philippines will be around PHP 1.7k.
You can take a look a some photos of Nokia 222 below. The feature phone is beautiful and absolutely a nice budget phone.
Recently there is some news going around about full charging at only 6 minutes. That seems a very interesting and amazing technology, but we will not talk about that today. Since new technology will be on new smart phones, we focus more on already released devices. In a fast charging test conducted not too long ago, Asus Zenfone 2 and Samsung Galaxy S6 are tied on a 30 minute test. However, Asus Zenfone 2 stays the fastest charging smartphone if charging time at 15 minutes or lower.
Asus Zenfone 2 tops the list of fastest charging smartphones
Asus Zenfone 2 battery is 3000mAh. With normal charging, it would take the device around 3 hours to be completely charged. However, with fast charging enabled, Asus Zenfone 2 only takes around 1 hour 45 minutes to be fully charged.
It takes around 1 hour and 45 minutes for Zenfone 2 battery to charged from 1 to 100%
And around 47 minutes to charge from 1 to 67%
It seems Asus has proved the promised time for fast charging they has made before. With this, Asus Zenfone 2 stays a more favorable smart phone among its rivals.
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S6 battery is only 2500mAh. Therefore, while it catches up with Zenfone 2 in the 30 minute test and gets a shorter fully charged time, the victory still goes to Zenfone 2. Hooray, Zenfone 2 users, now you even have the fastest charging smartphone in your hands.

Asus has long been known for producing laptops. Now, with the rise of portable devices, Asus dives itself into mobile and tablets. And we have to say, Asus nailed it well. With the release of Asus Zenfone 2 series, the company has sold over millions of devices. Asus Zenfone has become a trademark, something set in stones for Asus’ rise on to top 10 of the mobile market. Therefore, as their sales continually grow, we all know the fact that Asus will be in top ten soon.
Furthermore, as HTC sales drop dramatically that they had to sell their Shanghai factory, the path is much clearer for Asus.
Asus smart phone sales grow continually over the past few years
According to CEO Jerry Shen, the company plans to produce more than 40 million units in 2016. This is its first step to claim to the world’s 10th spot. Moreover, Asus is going to aim more at Indonesia market, since this is the 2nd largest market of Zenfones.
The company plans to ship more than 4 or 5 million units to Indonesia this year
For its India, Russia, Taiwan, Brazil and Malaysia markets, Asus plans to ship more than one million units to each. It seems the company is processing its plan to rise to world’s top ten seriously, starting this year.
As Zenfone 2 has sold more than 5 million unit in H1 2015, Asus states that it will sell 6 million more units this H2. Since Zenfone 2 has good market sales, this flagship will help them sell more than 21 million units this year.
However, before Asus claims its spot in the top ten, let us see the phones that mark its name. Below are the list of top famous Asus phones.
Samsung is famous with its own chipset – the Exynos. Exynos 7420 is the power source of Samsung Galaxy S6 & Galaxy Note 5. However, recently some updates online have shown information of Samsung testing Snapdragon 820. It seems the Korean manufacturer has found some prominent features in this Qualcomm chipset. Rumor has it that Samsung will sport this on their next flagship – the Samsung Galaxy S7.
Samsung will use Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 on Galaxy series again?
Samsung was once the biggest companion of Qualcomm. Their high end phones used to sport Snapdragon chipset, before Exynos took over. However, Snapdragon 820 must be powerful for Samsung to test it on their next flagship.
Samsung Galaxy S7 is being tested with both Exynos and Snapdragon 820
Snapdragon 820 will not have any heating problems anymore, said Qualcomm. Moreover, according to Korean news, this chipset has passed all the tests to prove that it will overpower and have improved from its predecessor.
However, maybe Samsung Galaxy S7 with Snapdragon 820 will be only available in selected markets. Samsung Galaxy S7 in the Philippines will probably still be the Exynos-powered version.
Will the Exynos or Snapdragon 820 version be more powerful?
Although a new Galaxy flagship is expected, we still do not know if these information are really the truth. However, if Samsung is indeed planning to use Snapdragon 820 on Samsung Galaxy S7, then this is good news for both Samsung and Qualcomm. With Galaxy S7, Qualcomm may win reputation back to its chipset.
One other small note, although Samsung still have no official word about the OS they are using for Galaxy S7, it is very likely that the device will come with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS. Looking for your confirm, Samsung!
Anyways, Samsung Galaxy S7 will not be out until this time next year, so nothing can be concluded yet. In the mean time, we can take a closer look at Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ or Samsung Galaxy Note 5 to know more about Samsung flagships. On the other hand, we can also examine some top tier flagships with Snapdragon 810, to see which version of chipset will be the better Galaxy S7.

Although Samsung do hint that the popular Galaxy Note 5 and new S6 series are most likely to get the first trial from Google’s sweet treat, they don’t seem to be so sure with the announcement.
Although not mentioned in the list, Lenovo actually did join the conversation, claiming that they may get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow for some of their devices. To be named are: one of their all-time best seller K3 Note, famous camera-smartphone hybrid Vibe Shot and the newly launched Zuk Z1 smartphone.
