How to backup apps on Android phones!

Most of the time, we only look to back up the data from apps and games. However, sometimes, it is convenient to backup the whole app itself too. Normally, once you download an app from the app store, you will be able to download the latest version anytime, as long as you are logged into your account. However, what if the latest version does not work at all, or it has a bug that prevents it from working as intended? That’s where your backup apps come in!

The best part of this is the steps are really easy to follow. No cables are needed; you will only need a file manager app. One you can use is File Manager (previously called Clean File Manager). There are also other options, such as ES File Explorer and Astro File Manager, which has the backup apps function. You can try out all these three, to see which one is easier for you. Now, once you are inside any of these apps, just navigate to the Tools section of Settings, and you should see an entry for backing up apps. Pick an app for backing up from there, and choose the place for the copy, and the rest should be automated.

You can do this for any apps you have downloaded and installed. However, this method may not work with pre-installed apps when you purchased the phone. To reinstall an old app that you backed up, just use any file manager app, and tap the icon of the app. A prompt will ask you to allow installation from other sources, allow that if you have not. Sometimes you will need to delete the existing version first for this to work, and that will wipe your app data, so beware of that. Also, remember that some features from an old version may be different from an updated version, and the developer will only support the latest version.
