1. Quick switch and multi-window
For everyone using Android OS, now you can be happy to use the multitasking feature. We all know that the multitasking feature is very excellent. However, this feature is even better than before. Now you can immediately switch to your latest app by just tapping twice time the “Recent” button. Quick Switch allows you to do it easily. You can also find a “Clear All” button in the Recent menu which is not available in Android Marshmallow.
There is also a multi-window feature in the Recent menu. This multi-window allow you to open 2 apps at the same time. You can see two apps in the split screen. For example, you can be able to message friends while browsing websites. You can even drag items between the two used apps. Cool, right? All you need to do is press the Recent button within an app. And then you choose the second app to open it.
2. Better UI and Notifications
When using this OS, the most easy-to-realise improvement is UI. You can clearly see it in the notification menu. The space of notifications is used more efficiently. The width is smaller. And you won’t have to see a huge number of messages from an app (like Facebook message). Because the notifications will come in stacks depending on apps. If you don’t like this new feature, these notifications can be expanded. Quick replies for the 3rd party and devs are now enabled.
3. Pictures in pictures
If you usually watch Youtube on your smartphone, you’ll easily notice this feature. That is you can zoom in the window in the right corner of the screen while doing other activities on this channel. And now this is now available on Android Nougat official features. Now you can watch a video in the mini window in the corner while doing the other stuff in the background.
4. Daydream VR
Daydream VR is a new VR platform of Google. And Android Nougat will be the first OS owning Google’s VR plans. This OS will give you an amazing experience when using VR. You’ll have a much smoother mobile VR experience. There’s no OS which can give you this, but Android Nougat. So, Google Nexus 2016 could be the first phone to operate Daydream. Hopefully, more 2017 flagships will support Daydream too.
5. Allo and Duo
Allo and Duo are the two coolest Android Nougat official features. Allo is a new message app from the research giant. With this app, you can research websites and make bookings within conversations. On the other hand, Duo is a new video calling app. The Google’s product will make your video calling better than ever. This app allows you to preview the caller before picking up. Even in the limited bandwidth connections, your calls are still optimised.
