Back in April this year, Oppo announced a mid-range smartphone goes by the name A3, with a notch on top. Then, it appeared on both TENAA and Geekbench listing, followed up by an official launch event in June 2018. After that, OPPO A3 has only been available in China and Taiwan so far. And now, the company has already rolled out a toned-down version of it – OPPO A3s! As for what the budget handset looks on paper, here’s a rundown.

The OPPO A3s specs will sport a 6.2-inch full-screen HD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. It will definitely come with a notch, and the processor underneath the screen will be a Snapdragon 450 chipset. Optics-wise, OPPO A3s camera include a dual rear setup of a 13MP (f/2.2) + 2MP (f/2.4) sensor. Up-front, there will be a single 8MP snapper (f/2.2) coming with AI Beauty Technology 2.0 for the selfie lovers out there!

Regarding the software, the OPPO device should most likely run Color OS 5.1 with Android 8.1 Oreo. Besides, it takes power from a massive 4,230mAh battery as the power backup. While connectivity options range from 4G VoLTE, Micro USB, and the standard other options, there are two variants of the device – 2GB RAM with 16GB internal storage and 3GB RAM with 32GB internal storage.

Budget OPPO A3s release date and price

Oppo is undoubtedly going to launch the OPPO Find X in India on July 12 as planned. And according to our source, the entry-level handset OPPO A3s will make its debut in India soon after that. Besides, the handset will be available in Red and Dark Purple options, at a starting price of Rs 10,990 ~ $160.
