Google Fuchsia: the great Successor to Android Operating system!

According to the latest report, Google has been quietly working on a grand project under the name Fuchsia. In details, their development team has grown considerably at Google during the last two years. For now, the Fuchsia OS team at Google includes more than 100 members. Moreover, the US brand created the Google Fuchsia operating system from scratch. Notably, Google’s aim for the Fuchsia OS is not only replacing Android and Chrome OS but also running all the gadgets that they make.

In details, the Fuchsia OS aims to overcome the limitations of Android as more personal devices, and other gadgets arrive. Moreover, Google also designs this new OS to accommodate voice interactions and frequent security updates better. Besides, they also want the OS to keep the same look on various devices. The list includes smartphones, laptops and even tiny internet-connected sensors. Google’s vice president of design, Matias Duarte, is reportedly working part-time on the project.

So far, here’s what’s already known about Fuchsia. Firstly, Google started quietly posting the code online in 2016. Besides, the company has let outside app developers tinker with bits of the open-source system for a while. On the other hand, Google has also begun to experiment on the new OS with applications. For instance, we have the interactive screen displays and voice commands for YouTube. “Switching away from Android could provide Google with the opportunity to hit the reset button on any mistakes they believe they made a decade ago,” shared by Jeffrey Grossman, co-founder of messaging app Confide. “They might be able to regain some power that they’ve ceded to device manufacturers and telecom carriers.”

When will Google Fuchsia arrive?

For now, Google hasn’t confirmed an official release date for the Fuchsia OS yet. However, we can expect for this new operating system to appear in the next Google gadgets in the upcoming years. What do you think about Google Fuchsia? Can it be a worthy successor of Android? Let us know!
