Even though Google Pixel is one of the biggest flagship available in the market, there are some features disappointing users. Let’s have a look at these Google Pixel drawback!

1. High cost

Google has stated that Google Pixel and Google Pixel XL will be tough rival to iPhone 7 and 7 Plus of Apple. As we already known that Google Pixel are high-end phones available in the market. As a result, price tag of the smartphone is not affordable for many customers. And this is the biggest Google Pixel drawback in comparison to other phones

Its base price is $650 for 32GB version and $749 for the 128GB model. In fact, each model of Google Pixel has the price that is match to the corresponding version of iPhone 7.

2. Almost no water resistance

As we have mentioned in earlier post, the IP rating of Google Pixel is IP-53. Especially, the water resistant capability of Google Pixel is only 3 in the scale of 0-8. This means Google Pixel is only protected against direct spray of water up to 60 degree from the vertical which is low comparing to other Pixel’s rivals. For example, the IP rating of iPhone 7 is IP-67.

3. Inappropriate location of speaker

Have you noticed that we usually put our on the speaker when we set the phone in landscape position? Therefore, the sound quality will be affected. As a result, you need find a way to hold your phone at a different position when using the phone in landscape. In fact, you will meet this irritating Google Pixel drawback again when using the handset. Of course, no one want to hold their phone.

4. No optical image stabilization (IOS)

Optical image stabilization is an amazing feature of Google’s smartphones. It helps the videos stabilize. However, this feature comes with a con. The feature makes videos look a little blurry. We hope that Google will improve it on the next smartphone.

5. More glass, more fragile and scratch

It is true that smartphones coming with glass on the back is easily get scratch and even can be broken. And of course, no one want their phone get fixed just after one fall.

Five Google drawback above is a pity for such an high-end smartphone. We hope that Google will enhance them in the next smartphones.
