Huawei Kirin 970 Beats Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 In Benchmarks Test!

Two great chipsets will be making their appearance in 2018 are Kirin 970 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845! Surprisingly, Huawei Kirin 970 Beats Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 In Benchmarks Test! Read more about this below!

How Huawei Kirin 970 Beats Qualcomm Snapdragon 845?

The test result of Huawei Kirin 970 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 appeared on the Chinese media. Based on the image on Chinese media, Kirin 970 system-on-chip outscored the Snapdragon 845 in some synthetic benchmarks by approximately seven percent. However, the difference between two chipsets isn’t significant. The Benchmarks test score only shows some individual tests and not the average result of extensive scale. Moreover, the synthetic benchmark scores are hardly suggestive of real performance, particularly in the context of such small borders.

While we only evaluate the hardware part, it is up to the manufacturers to optimise their smartphones. Additionally, they also need to take in consideration of the software running to gain the maximum advantage. On the other hand, Huawei has announced that the Kirin 970 is the world’s first artificial intelligence SoC. This chipset comes with Neural Processing Unit solely dedicated to machine learning and general AI apps. Furthermore, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 also includes AI features and has a broader range of smartphones’ appearance.

So which smartphones will sport these chipsets? For Huawei Kirin 970, it will appear in the Honor 2018 line-up. Some of the potential candidates include Huawei P11 and Huawei Honor V10. On the contrary, many handsets from LG, Samsung and even Sony are coming with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. Overall, we expect that the Snapdragon 845 will have the same popularity as its predecessor, the Snapdragon 835 in more than 100 devices. On a similar note, it looks like many chipset manufacturers will be jumping straight to 7nm technology in early 2019. One of the pioneers, TSMC is likely going to be the primary manufacturer of the Snapdragon 855 and replace Samsung as Qualcomm’s chip partner.
