iPhone 8 is the most anticipated phone of this year. It is no wonder why every piece of news about the phone became a hot topic. Recently, a new iPhone design has surfaced from Chinese social media site Weibo. The pictures show the outside look of the new iPhone, at the front and back panel. There seem to be three different colors to this new device. Furthermore, at the rear, right below the usual Apple logo is what looks like a fingerprint scanner.

Traditionally, the fingerprint scanner, or TouchID as Apple and its users call it, is on the front panel, on the bottom bezel. However, reports have suggested that the company needed to move the TouchID to the back of the phone. The reason is that apparently, Apple finds it hard to integrate the said function underneath the new OLED display. The iPhone 8 display this time is going to be a 5.8-inch OLED one.

The three colors shown for this iPhone 8 design are silver, gold and black, and they are the standard colors for iPhone now (more colors were added in recent releases as well). On the front, we can easily see an edge-to-edge display and no physical home button. At the back, we see that the dual camera set-up stays vertically, and we just mentioned the TouchID above. This arrangement of TouchID may shift the habits of using the feature a little bit for customers, as they are now more prone to using the index finger instead of the thumb for opening the phone.

iPhone 8 design: Launch date may be coming soon

For now, the iPhone 8 price is still unknown. However, its release date may come soon. Are you excited for new information for this year’s iPhone?
