Meizu X8 with Snapdragon 710 to have better specs than Xiaomi Mi 8 SE!

The Meizu founder, Huang Zhang was unusually active in the Meizu community for some time and broke news about the upcoming beast. And just last week, he revealed the company is working on a new smartphone, goes by the name Meizu X8. In addition, the executive also revealed the device will take power from the Snapdragon 710 chip and won’t feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. Furthermore, he even claimed the device will have a better hardware than Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, which sports the same processor at the core.

In terms of the design, this Xiaomi SE phone has a quite similar display to the original Mi 8 handset. There is both Glass Front and back panel as well as Aluminium Frame. Xiaomi Mi 8 SE specs include a 5.88-inch Super AMOLED with the resolution of 2248 x 1080 px. Under the hood, the phone takes power from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset. It also comes running Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI 10.

For the storage, the Xiaomi phone offers 4GB RAM/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB ROM (no card slot). How about the photography system? The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE camera sports dual 12MP RGB (f/1.9) + 5MP depth sensor (f/2.0) rear snapper. On the front, there is a 20MP (f/2.0) selfie lens with Portrait Mode. Regarding the battery box, the Mi 8 SE has a non-removable 3120 mAh juice box with QuickCharge 3.0 support. As for other connectivities, there are Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC and IR. Moreover, the Xiaomi handset supports Dual Nano SIM and Fingerprint Sensor.

Meizu X8 release date and price

According to the executive, Meizu X8 will cost no more than 2000 yuan ($304). So there is every reason to think it will be positioning the mid-range market, unlike the Meizu 16 Plus that is going to struggle for the highest positions.
