We’ve seen enough patents, code and rumours to believe that Microsoft could actually be working on its long-awaited Surface Phone. Notably, these licenses reportedly lead to a particular version of Windows 10, Andromeda OS. This unique OS is going to support both ARM and X86 CPUs. Not long ago we have come across a foldable version of the handset. Today, a new Surface Phone concept appeared online by the talented Harry Dohyun Kim. Let’s check it out!

For starter, this Surface Phone concept portrays the same design cues it shares with other devices in that line. What is so interesting about this is that the phone bears some of the latest patents, including the”hinge screen” that gives the illusion of a solid display when the device is fully opened in tablet mode. Based on the recent patents, it seems like the Surface Phone is now in the development phase. On top of that, other media sites suggest that the Surface Phone can have magnets on both sides to help it fold. They also state that the device can fold into various positions named tablet mode, or tent mode. Additionally, there are even laptop mode and foldable mode. Microsoft is going to equip this smartphone with a particular note-taking app. With this new feature, users can write on the two screens as if they are working on a regular paper notebook.

As mentioned above, this new Microsoft Surface Phone can still be in development at the moment. We can expect to meet this new device at the end of the year or even the first quarter of 2019 the soonest.
