Previously, Moto has been teasing a big-battery phone for some time now on its social media channels. Finally, we have a confirmation of the launch of the Moto E5 Plus. In details, the phone was launched alongside the Moto G6 series in Brazil earlier this year. According to our sources, this E5 Plus will be coming to India on July 10 through Amazon.in. For those who do not know, the Moto E5 Plus is the latest refresh of the Moto E lineup.

Based on what we learned, the E lineup was introduced as an entry-level offering with basic hardware. However, Moto posted a short video (1 min) summing up the history of the Moto E series with the caption “big battery, big screen, big entertainment”. Thus, we will see some minor changes from here since the Moto E5 Plus in that sense does have a lot in common with its mid-range siblings.

Whereas, the most prominent feature of the Moto E5 Plus is the 5,000mAh battery. Meanwhile, the most significant upgrade is HD+ resolution (720 x 1440 pixels) and the large 5.99-inch 18:9 IPS LCD screen. Whereas, the phone runs on near-stock Android 8.0 Oreo. Under the hood, the phone provides a Snapdragon 435 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage. The good news is, there is a MicroSD card that can expand up to 256GB via a microSD card. Also, the phone supports 15W TurboPower charging (6 hours of usage in 15-min charging). Meanwhile, the Motorola Moto E5 Plus camera features a 12MP (f/2.0) rear sensor and an 8MP selfie shooter (f/2.2).
