As its arrival date is approaching, more details on the upcoming Motorola Edge 40 series have surfaced online. In detail, we know that the family includes two members: the vanilla Moto Edge 40 and a high Pro model. Moreover, the Motorola Edge 40 Pro is the global variant of the Moto X40. This handset arrived exclusively in China last month.
On the other hand, its brother should be a brand-new smartphone in the brand’s roadmap.

Firstly, the device is going to run on the new Dimensity 8020 chipset. As a result, it belongs in the mid-range market. Besides, the storage option now includes 8GB RAM and two ROM: 128/256GB. Additionally, the company also added a microSD card to expand the storage to 256GB. As for the operating system, both Motorola smartphones are going to run on the new Android 13 version.

Are you looking for the display? The new Motorola phone now offers a slightly curved AMOLED of 6.55-inch with 1080 x 2400 pixels. While smaller than the Pro model, the screen should have a high refresh rate of 144Hz. It is also IP68 dust/water resistant certified. The Motorola Edge 40 camera shares a 50MP module with the Pro phone. However, the handset only packs a 13MP ultra-wide lens and 2 MP, f/2.4 (depth). On the front, the Moto Edge 40 features a 32MP sensor. Last but not least, the device comes with a decent-size battery of 4400mAh with support for wired (68W) and wireless (15W) charging.

The new Motorola phone should debut in April in many countries. Furthermore, it comes in different colors: Eclipse Black, Nebula Green, Lunar Blue, and Viva Magenta. For the price, the Motorola Edge 40 price begins at €600 ($650/₹53,500).
