Motorola Moto Z3 Play to arrive in India and the US

The Motorola Moto Z3 Play became official at the start of the month in Brazil, and it’s now making its way to shelves in India and the US. We confirmed that Amazon would add the Moto Z3 Play to its Prime offers and would start shipping the phone on July 29. As of now, Motorola official website is accepting pre-orders and promises to deliver them starting on July 2. According to previous information, Indian buyers will be able to get their hands on the phone in the first week of July.

Underhood, Motorola Moto Z3 Play specs are the same footprint as the Z and Z2 device. The maker includes a tall 6-inch Super AMOLED display of 1080 x 2160 pixels. Besides, it runs Snapdragon 636 chipset coupled with eight Kryo 260 cores and a new Adreno 509 GPU at the core. Regarding the storage options, both the 32GB and 64GB variants will come with 4GB RAM (expandable up to 400GB). The optics department gets some upgrade, too.

The primary rear camera at keeps the 12MP sensor, sitting behind a f/1.7 lens. It also receives a secondary 5MP snapper with Dual-Pixel autofocus mode as well as the dual-tone LED flash. The selfie camera is now 8MP with an aperture of f/2.0, no flash included. Another thing that has disappeared since the Z2 Play is the audio jack. On top of that, the Motorola handset houses a 3000mAh battery inside its thin body and supports TurboPower 15W charging. Lastly, it runs on Android Oreo system with all Moto perks available such as Moto Display, Actions, Camera, etc.

Motorola Moto Z3 Play release date and price

There’s no price information for the Indian nor the US market yet. However, the Brazilian asking price starts at BRL 2,299 (INR 42,500/€520) for the 4GB model and balloons to a hefty BRL 2,699 (INR 48,700/€610) for the 6GB top trim model.
